First of all, thanks Jenny for postIng that.  Didn't get to listen last week.  You know, we should probably narrow down a couple Winter Magic songs for us all to ask for... More requests for same song= Higher demand= Better chance of being played.  Just thought it would be worth suggesting. I think some good choices would be Veni Veni Emmanuel, Christmas Morning, Silent Night, and Little Road to Bethlehem. I think we should go with #3 & 4, but that's just my opinion. Libby? Jenny? Oh yes, I'm never short on opinions!  I will go with anything you guys settle on, but I personally prefer Veni Veni Emmanuel, The Coventry Carol, and Peace Shall Come. Does it have to be only 2? And does it matter if we choose a different one here and there? Little Road is great too, since it's different, but the vocals aren't nearly as impressive as in Veni or Coventry Carol. I didn't choose Silent Night because it's so common, and every singer sings it, it seems, but I won't complain if they do play it! I think I'm going for Veni and Coventry Carol. I love Peace Shall come, but these are the songs that will show off Hayley's gorgeous, haunting vocals the most, plus they're closer to being classical than Peace Shall Come. But then, maybe we should do one classical one, and one crossover one! In that case, Christmas Morning would be fine, too. Oh, I can't really decide! Anything they play by Hayley is good enough for me! But I'm for sure going with Veni for one of my choices. Good enough? i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif |

Ok. We can all vote for whatever but I think I'm set on "Christmas Morning" at least.
I'll say one thing, of the 5 Winter Magic songs on my youtube channel, "Coventry Carol" was the most popular with 595 likes and "Peace Shall Come" came in second with 197 likes. Big jump there.

Goodness! We can't request the whole CD... Or can we? But that might actually work! Request the whole album? Why not! Just be all like "Anything from Hayley Westenra's 'Winter Magic' album. They're all wonderful!". Or we could all request different songs from the album... WEll, on my channel Sleigh Ride is the most popular Winter Magic song with 23,682 views.
But it isn't the most popular christmas song. That is O Holy Night with 40,838 views. Pity she has never recorded it, it would be a great choice to vote for.

Yeah, Veni and Christmas Morning are fine with me. But I personally think we should just request our favorites... I know how about we settle on one for sure (Veni?), and then select another of our own personal favorites. However, I'm a little confused on where to post my request. I went to the link you provided Jenny, but I had to click "Join Group", but I thought I had already liked this radio station's page. I get posts from Bernie Scott in my timeline, and e-mail notitifications from Radio Nipper and Darren Hughes. But this one looks different. Are we even referring to the same radio station?? Very confused. Who's who, and what's what?  I also don't see any wall posts there any later than July 18. Do I just post on there randomly, once I get approved?  I really want to make a request before it's too late, but I have no idea where or how to do it. |

Okay, I found your link on the 2nd page here, and I saw your Christmas requests there. So, they do actually have Hayley's songs available to play right? I'm trying to interpret your conversation with them there.
