Martin, no duets you say? I was stressing on duets based on what I believe was confirmed...? Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't she mention a lot about her working with a lot of people and the album going to be having a lot of collaborations?

I would love to hear an album version of Canto Della Terra between Hayley and Andrea. I would pick this over The Prayer or Time to Say Goodbye. Although, it would be even better if she can have an original duet with Andrea.

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't she mention a lot about her working with a lot of people and the album going to be having a lot of collaborations? Hayley works with lots of different people when she writes so that could be what is meant by "collaborations". I wouldn't rule out the possibility of a duet although we haven't heard any rumours or Hayley's teasing tweets to give any clues. I've learnt not to speculate too seriously about what will be when it comes to Hayley and new albums. She has a habit of proving we're way off the mark although I have been pondering what clues. if any, we might get from the fact that she may have used a vintage dress or gown in her photo shoot. However, I'm keeping my theory close to my chest! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifBest wishes Grant

Yes, I thought that dress was interesting too Grant. And I also got the impression that the "collaberations" were to do with the songwriting. There is no information to suggest that any other artist was present at the studio during the recording of the album. I might be wrong of course, but if there are no duets on the album I won't be surprised. Od course the other half of the duet could have been recoded somewhere else, as was her previous duet with Bocelli on Odyssey. Are the retro dresses that those people do from any particular period (says he, knowing nothing about fashion)?

Are the retro dresses that those people do from any particular period (says he, knowing nothing about fashion)? No, they are from anywhere between the 40's to the 80's. Quite diverse. Don't think Hayley'll choose anything from the 80's though. :je -Taylor i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

Hello folks! We believe Hayley wore dresses from the Painted Black Vintage shop in Crouch End for the album cover photoshoot. See their website for more information: www.paintedblack.co.ukRichard

The 2 dresses I liked best were vintage '70s and '50's. Martin, I'm not sure what you mean by "that dress" since we haven't seen which dress(es) she's chosen yet. I agree, there's probably no duet, but I wouldn't mind being proven wrong. Martin, you might as well give up the notion of any of the Japanese songs being on one of her major releases, except for a Japanese version, and then that would probably be something new. And I wouldn't count on any songs she's put on previous albums being on this new album. Somewhere Over the Rainbow was on one of her NZ releases. True, I Dreamed a Dream was from a live recording, but still. I wouldn't rule it out entirely, though, and I would love to have a new recording of that song. But I would rule out Rainbow. That I can live without. We have gorgeous live versions of both of those songs now, anyway. And who knows, they might not even turn out the same on an album, anyway. The new recording of the Japanese Amazing Grace certainly wasn't the same as the original recording for HSJS1, so you never know.

IDAD was actually recorded on her first NZ release too. I, however, would not rule Rainbow. It's become one of her favored songs of late, and would fit nicely into an album (I think). And even if they don't turn out the same on the album, who knows? Hayley might out-do herself. -Taylor i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

Well, I've seen some of the comments about "Rainbow" on my YouTube channel, and she does a stunning version of it. She has also recorded it with CW of course, in stunning four part harmony. But her more mature version is different. And wonderful. I was blown away when I saw her do it live at Gwyl Gobaith last year. Currently the second most popular of the 27 Hayley videos on my YouTube site here www.youtube.com/watch?v=pMfuLQNownc&list=UUbw8JnrNuB0LxNTxt4EGY1g&index=2Martin D

Taylor, I thought that was a live performance. If so, technically it wasn't "recorded for" the album, it was just put on the album. I still don't think either one will be on the new album, but we're all free to hope and speculate all we want. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifNaturally, familiar songs are going to get a lot of views, because people recognize the song, and want to hear how a certain singer sounds singing it.

No, it was actually recorded, in a sound studio along with all the other tracks. There was a live performance of "Amazing Grace" on there, and she did do it later on Russell's DVD, but this is different. I would link you to a video, but that's against forum policy. However I can post a picture: (Track 11) -Taylor i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

Okay, okay, you're right. Which to me makes it even less likely a new recording might happen.... BUT.. she recorded the Bach version of Ave Maria on that album, and then did a new (and better) recording for River of Dreams. So, in that case, I guess we can't rule it (or Over the Rainbow) out entirely. I would really love to have a new recording of IDAD. I can't get enough of hearing her live performances as it is.

And The Mists of Islay... and God Defend New Zealand. And I've been listening to Bao Bei non-stop since we heard Hayley was singing it. Oh gosh, I get more and more excited every day!!! :rollin -Taylor i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

That's very true!! I'm starting to get more hopeful about a "repeat" recording.
