Thought I would go ahead and start this thread, since the prospect of an album this year is starting to look quite plausible, ever since Hayley's series of songwriting tweets last year and the recent hints from Jon Cohen on Twitter. -Taylor i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifEDIT by Dave 22 Apr 2012: Thread title updated to "Hushabye (General thread)".

Hello Taylor, I have amended the thread title from "Hayley's 2013 Album" to reflect our current state of knowledge on this subject, I wouldn't want members to get the wrong impression. By all means discuss, and provide any evidence, but speculate is all we can do at present. I wish we knew more! Cheers, Dave EDIT - title changed back and threads merged, now it's official!

Hi everyone, Well done to Hayley for doing this thing we've all been hoping for and being the first to confirm it! Clearly, her record company meeting has cleared her to announce it and now we await the title, tracklist, theme (if any!) and release dates! I've posted it as a news item on the HWI website - genuine new news at last for those of us outside Asia! Here are Hayley's tweets late yesterday that started the buzz! Cheers, Dave

A new Hayley album is always excellent news! Looking forward to it I wonder if she'll take us in yet another new musical direction after Paradiso? Seems likely as she does tend to experiment, but time will tell, I guess

Hi everyone,
Well confusion reigned supreme for a day, but all is now calm - we know nothing has been decided other than what Hayley tweeted "A new Album".
Amazon have removed the page that started all the fuss, so let's start again. I hope we get more details, soon!
Thanks to all those who helped to end the confusion, including Hayley.
Cheers, Dave
PS the "missing" posts in this thread are just hidden, if anyone wants theirs back, let me know!

I think it might be good to leave the posts... I feel like it'll kinda be part of the history of the album, like "Eternal" was to "Treasure". If anybody were ever to go back and look at them, I'm sure they'd at least get a laugh out of all us scrambling for answers! We could just move the posts to a locked thread like with "Eternal". Just my opinion. I'm simply glad the confusion's cleared up! -Taylor i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

No, I definitely don't want mine back, thanks. I just knew all that had to be wrong. I was so uncertain and disappointed that I didn't even post a thing about it on the other forum! I'm glad I didn't, too! I thought it best to wait for more info! Could the Amazon people themselves have made up that cheesy cover (sorry, but it was)? It just didn't seem to make sense that they would waste time on a lullaby album, especially since it seemed like she was really gearing up for a really and truly new album, and one I like to call a "real" Hayley album, at that. I still remember an interview (Thailand, maybe?) where she said that the new album might have songs in a similar style as Who Painted the Moon Black. I don't think a lullaby album would have sold any better than Winter Magic did, probably worse, since lullabies is a much more specialized category than Christmas. Over here, it wouldn't do well, I know that, so I was starting to think we wouldn't get the new album at all! Whew, I am soooo relieved! So enough of the lullaby discussion, since hopefully it's now irrelevant! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

I must admit I was surprised by the putative title, but I didn't take it literally as being 'an album of lullabies' any more than I assumed 'Paradiso' would be about Dante's poetic cycle (Inferno, Purgatorio and Paradiso, for anyone who isn't sure . I have to agree with Libby that an album of lullabies would most likely completely tank, but I'm sure Hayley knows that, too. Plus, what an absolute waste of her amazing voice that would be! I hope and suspect she is aiming to top Paradiso. A tall order, yes, but I honestly think she is only starting to hit her stride as an artist. If I'm right, everything we've heard to date is just her warming up... And that thought makes me a very happy Hayley fan. She's already amazing. How much MORE amazing may she yet become?

I must apologise on behalf of Amazon.co.uk for the confusion they caused. They certainly sold us down the river there! Richard

Hi everyone, For some reason I couldn't log in yesterday, but I was following the discussion and I had a feeling that what amazon said was not right, that was definitely an old photo on their 'cover'. I'm so excited for the new album though, but I suppose we'll have to wait for an official announcement.

Yes Elliott, I agree. Hayley is still getting better and better as she gains experience and her voice matures. It is interesting to compare current performances against old ones of the same songs. Perhaps "Dreamer" would be a better title, since Hayley says she is one! But whatever, I'm sure we have something special to look forward to, and I'm sure more details will be released once they are agreed. Martin D
