Hi all,
I love the new album and will rush to judgement.Let`s face it Hayley singing Hushabye Mountain will be worth the cost alone.I see Hayley is not listed as a classical artist on Decca Classics and hope Hayley moves more towards Easy Listening. I think Lullaby(Go To Sleep)must be on the album.Irish Lullaby may also be there.I would love When I Grow Too Old to Dream to be on it and another song with an outside chance is Island of Dream`s. The album should of course come with a warning that it should not be played when driving!!.
Regard`s Stephen.

Ah that's a valid point, this would attract audience who don't like the operatic style, but her major fan base are the ones who like hayley for her voice and exquisite singing style, they shouldn't be disappointed. I'm sure the whole album will be a treat but let's see how it goes

lol true. Even with her other albums, I've found listening while driving pretty much nullifies any potential road rage! -Rory

Hi Libby .... but I am getting very tired of Decca's constant delay of what we all really want: a true Hayley album, with lots of new material from her. Decca is really starting to aggravate me. I understand your frustration, I really do. I'm also very much looking forward to the elusive self penned album but we have to trust Decca to know what they are doing. It is not only diehard fans like us who will be buying albums and most people won't be aware that Hayley is a very talented writer and so might not risk buying it. My hope is that Hushabye will raise Hayley's profile enough to make a self penned album viable and I'm hoping that that is Decca's view too. Personally, I'm really looking forward to this album. As far as I'm concerned Hayley can sing anything and make it sound exceptional and I can't wait to see the full track list. Best wishes Grant

Normally, news of a new album is an exciting time, but I can't say I'm overly excited at this point, about the theme of this album. I hope my doubts are put to rest though when it's released.
But, if 'Hushabye' is disappointing, then I'm hoping there will be another album soon after, because two years (the average time between Hayley albums) is a long time to wait for the next one.
I wasn't a big fan of 'Paradiso', so that will be nearly four years since Hayley released an album ('Winter Magic') that I really liked. But it can only really be played around Christmas.
Time will tell I suppose.

That's the thing, we fans will only try to "convince" ourselves that it sounds nice, and like it was mentioned we'll only "grow to like it" or rather get used to it. We'll like it no matter what, great but what about others? What about people who don't even know her? Is this song (or singing) going to make them stop to look for the singer behind it? Definitely I wouldn't have discovered hayley if this was the first song I heard. and I-H-F pretty much stated how a majority of the hayley fans would have felt. But no point in saying all this, I'll wait till I hear more of the album I'm sure I'll love dream a little dream of me.

Combined with the Facebook comments, I think it's just a 1:1 ratio. Well, for accuracy's sake, I went to investigated your statistic, Simba. Did some research, looked at YT, Twitter, and multiple FB pages, crunched some numbers, and got about a 9:2 ratio. In Hayley's favor. If you count in the number of people who don't comment, that might level out to maybe 3 to 1, but who knows for certain. I didn't count the fact that the video has a 120:4 like-dislike ratio, and a negative comment from a deranged KJ fan. :je In other good news, Hushabye is already halfway up the Amazon.co.uk pre-orders chart at No. 51!! And you have to consider that there's been basically no promotion for the album, since it was only announced two/three days ago. -Taylor i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

I once drove into a kerb and almost lost control while listening to Hayley in the car. She is far too compelling to listen to safely while driving. A bit like those cases where musicians have lost it whilst accompanying her, becuase they were enchanted by her singing. Martin D

I'm sure I'll love dream a little dream of me. I'm looking forward to this too. I've always loved the iconic Mama Cass version of this song. I can hear her voice in my head now. If Hayley can beat that (and I wouldn't bet against it) she will really have something special. Martin D

Hi all!
Hopefully Decca will have some more news to follow up Twinkle Twinkle early this week.
Their marketing department would have had to have known this track would have been quite polarising, so here's to hoping they will have something more for us soon, so we can get more of an impression of the album.
Cheers, Jillian

and I-H-F pretty much stated how a majority of the hayley fans would have felt. But as it's a Decca project, its target audience may be much broader than the usual Hayley fans and I, for one, hope that if so, they succeed in hitting their target because that will raise Hayley's profile and is likely to benefit her both immediately and in the long run. Cheers, Dave

Hi all, I'm very excited about this new album. From what we know, these songs are well-known in most countries. I wonder if "Brahm's Lullaby" or "Lavender's Blue" will be on the CD. Calming music is fantastic for all ages. This hectic pace of life is a modern disease.

Rushing to judgement of an album based on one or two tracks is a risky business - so I'm not going to do it. Dave Umm, well, I'm sorry, but when you give out a song and a quarter of a song that are both baby lullaby songs, you can expect people to rush to judgment. You can't blame people for that when that's all they're given. The people who don't follow Hayley as closely and maybe haven't received the e-mail, won't necessarily know about the other better songs yet, so those people are going to, not surprisingly, jump to conclusions. I posted the information on the Josh forum, and I right away made sure it was clear why this album was somewhat geared to babies. No replies so far (there rarely is). But I just had a huge peak in number of views, but that was actually the day before I posted the album info. I had already posted that there was a new album coming soon, but that nothing had been officially announced yet. And Martin, I think being labelled a lullaby singer is worse than opera. Even if people don't care for opera, they at least might respect their skill and ability to sing that way. For lullabies, nobody pays attention to what a great singer you are, just as long as you can carry a tune, sound pleasant singing it, and your kids like it. I think this album is not geared towards her regular fans at all. Which could be good in a way, but I find I'm a bit offended by that. When are Hayley's fans ever going to get the "real Hayley"? Okay, maybe if you go to a concert, but that's not happening for me anytime soon, especially with this album slowing things down.

That's exactly what I was thinking Libby, some people may be put off if they think the whole album is just baby songs so hopefully there will be a full track list and samples soon.
If this album introduces new fans to Hayley that is only a good thing, but at the same time I agree with Libby that I want a 'real Hayley' album soon. I hope there will be some new Hayley songs on this album, at least one!
