I doubt that. I think it's just because Hayley has recorded a song he's written. But, since he is going to work with her here, maybe it will lead to him writing her a song...

Hi all -
For those of you interested in Hayley's singing with Mario Frangoulis in Boston next week, I just came across a Youtube video of an interview with Mario which has a lovely segment on Hayley. You can find the video directly by Googling "youtube wbz radio frangoulis". (Sorry! That is the best that I can do.). The segment begins at 4:30 on the timer.

That was great! So now we know a couple of the duets she'll be singing with him are new. I think he said Heroes Inside, but I didn't quite catch what the other one was.

I can't quite catch what it is either. I've played that ending a number of times, with the volume way up, and it is like what he is saying just goes over the cliff. But that was encouraging news.

Hello Libby and Bob! The correct title of the first duet is "A Hero Is Inside", which Mario has recorded with Vanessa Williams on his album 'Beautiful Things'. You can listen to a sample here: www.amazon.co.uk/Hero-Is-Inside-Vanessa-Williams/dp/B006FN42BYThe second duet sounds like "If", but I can't be sure. According to Don411.com, this concert will be shown on PBS at a later date: Richard

Hi Richard -
I think that you have it correct for the second duet. I kept thinking that I may have been hearing "It", which didn't make much sense. "If" sounds like a good title for a song. I had noticed that the concert will be recorded live, but I would not expect an airing in the immediate future. PBS programming is laid out much in advance. I have a subscription to the local PBS station's monthly programming magazine, and shall be on the look-out for the concert.

It is hard to say. The programming for the PBS stations around the country varies timewise usually, unless a preplanned presentation is being made of something with national interest. As I recall, the Boston PBS station never aired "Live From New Zealand", while New Hampshire and Rhode Island stations did. However, I shall be watching for it each month from now on in the Boston monthly PBS programming magazine, as well as for anything about it appearing on the web. I can well imagine that it will be an excellent show to watch. Hoping that we all get to see it.

That's great that this concert will be recorded for PBS. For those attending, there may be frequent breaks for scenery changes, multiple camera angles, retakes, etc.
I, too, hope the special will be seen across more stations than 'Live from NZ' .
All going well, the autumn or winter PBS pledge drives are a good bet.
