Hi -,
Another Public Broadcasting System programming guide (for September) for the Boston area has been received, with no mention of the Frangoulis show. Have been continuing to scout the web for any mention of it anywhere else around the country, but have found nothing other than the small item which has already been mentioned above. Maybe we will be in luck and see something of Hayley from the Athens show next Friday, but I would not care to bet on it. I remember that we got to see her the last time that she was in Athens during the tribute to Mario which Greek TV put on awhile back (see HWI home page, videos, HWI on YouTube). But that was a public broadcast.

Well, didn't something seem to indicate it might air in December? That's what I thought that one website showed.

Well, didn't something seem to indicate it might air in December? That's what I thought that one website showed. Everything that I have seen so far has just mentioned an airing on PBS later in the fall. Reply #175 above in this thread is the only specific info that I have found. Sadly, I am not very optomistic about seeing the program anytime soon on PBS, but I'll continue to be watching and hoping for some good news. BobS

Hi all - Found a liitle something concerning the show and PBS, plus a couple of pictures. (Nothing to get excited over.) At the site given below, are a number of items arranged by date, the most recent at the top. Scroll down to June 22, Horatio Alger Association w/Boston Pops. What caught my attention was the last paragraph of the text which reads, "Stay tuned, the event will be broadcast on PBS for THREE YEARS." You will see Hayley in two of the three photos given (which are clickable to enlarge) wearing what looks to me to be her tan "China/My Heart Will Go On" dress. www.facebook.com/LighthouseMovie?filter=3#! Good find, Bob! Here is a direct link to the page to the two photos of Hayley... www.facebook.com/LighthouseMovie?filter=3#!/media/set/?set=a.371476186241475.95677.156360571086372&type=1 The three years mentioned may be broadcast rights.

Thanks, Joe, for the direct linkage.
From what little I have been able to find so far, I don't know who owns what. Since KVCR out in California has been specifically mentioned, I have been monitoring them regularly, along with PBS Pressroom. It just looks to me now as if we could be waiting for the next three years to see the show, just perhaps.

Hello Bob! To find the direct link for a Facebook post, click on the date at the top, then copy the URL in the address bar. Richard

Hello Richard -
Thanks for the tip about clicking the date on a Facebook post to get the address. I didn't know that. But somehow I had gotten to see that mile-long address figure at the end for the text portion, and gotten scared off wondering whether Proboards would be able to handle it. Desiring not to get into some mess, I opted for the method I used. I can see now that I had nothing to worry about.

Hello Bob! One more tip. If a URL starts with "https://", you must either remove the 's' or insert the URL between hyperlink tags (second from the left in the second row) for the link to be clickable on the forum. If all else fails, I'll fix it. Richard

Hi Richard,
Thanks for the additional tip, and especially for the "I'll fix it" assurance.

Hi all, I wasn't really sure where to put this I just wondered if anyone had seen this before: Horatio Alger Association Scholarship Dinner: Hayley Westenra. Didn’t know who this lady was before I attended this concert. According to Mansoor, the Queen of England has her on speed dial and they named a tea after her. Without a doubt, she has an amazing voice. from here: hnisar.tumblr.com/ you need to scroll down a bit best wishes Sing

Hi Sing,
I remember coming across a couple of posts of some kind by that fellow (and seeing the name, Mansoor) when I was surfing around back at the time of the Frangoulis Boston concert. I have not seen that picture, and website, before. He appears to have done quite a bit of hob-nobbing with many impressive higher-ups in our government. I might check him out a little more, just out of curiosity. That picture is a nice find.
Thanks, BobS

Hello Sing and Bob! The Horatio Alger Association sponsored Mario Frangoulis's Boston concert, so I've moved your posts to this thread. Incidentally, it was a hybrid tea rose that was named after Hayley. Richard

Hey yall! Good news from Mario's FB page: Sadly, I already checked APT (Alabama's branch of PBS). Nope, Birmingham isn't fortunate enough to be one of those 30 lucky cities. Oh well, at least it's coming out on DVD. Oooohh, and Blu-Ray too!! HD. -Taylor i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

Hello Taylor! There are a few typos there, but the 'ND' indicates the correct date should be 22 November 2012. There are only 30 days in November, not 221! Richard
