Is it just me or is hayley wearing more and more revealing clothes these days, almost like it's getting worse with each appearance....I don't like the dress nor the hairstyle much.
I was really hoping for Hayley or Ennio to win, because the album really had the potential and I was checking everyday, but I guess this wasn't it yet, has she won a brit award before?

Here are a couple more photos I took. The second one was tricky as the lights were dim. For the technically minded it was at 300mm focal length and 12,800 ISO. Hayley looks back as she arrives at the 2012 Classic BRIT Awards Nicola Benedetti and Hayley at the Classic BRITs, are distracted while in conversation among the tables

As Dave has already said, conditions weren't great for photography, but here are my humble offerings Hayley : Would you like to buy a chicken sir ? gentleman on left : No thanks, I'm in a fowl humour, get it away from me.

Everyone is being so polite and reserved about this, but I'll come right out and say what I think the rest of the world is thinking: Andre WHO? ? I can't name one piece of music, not a single note of a single tune by him. Hayley on the other hand has moved the music world again and again with brilliant vocals and awesome albums. Whatever the set-up that allowed this travesty, it is going to eventually undue all respect for the Classic Brits as people wake up and realise it's not about who's most deserving but who has the best campaign.

Hi everyone,
great pictures, Hayley looks amazing in that dress, it makes me want one, the colour is stunning too! It's a shame paradiso did not win, i think it was the best classical album released in the last year, oh well.

Yes, there is a lot of that. Andre Rieu gives us superb performances of Johann Strauss's music. Hayley is new and for the most part original. Is Johann Strauss a better composer than Ennio Morricone? Does Andre use Hayley's voice better than Ennio. Not convinced about either of those. But n the end, even though we may not agree with it, that was the decision of the majrity of voters. And we have to live with it. I'm dissappointed for Hayley who I think deserves better. But becuase she does not push herslf like some others, not enough people are going to know about her. It is up to us, her fans to spread the word, and perhps it is our failing rather than Hayley's that has led to this result. Sorry Hayley, we tried our best and it wasn't good enough. Martin D

You all know that I love Hayley to bits, but I have to stick my neck out here and say that I think Andre Rieu is great. What he's done for classic music, especially in Australia, has been beyond impressive. He's getting classical albums to number 1 in Australia, a country where classical music almost never charts on the mainstream. Andre Rieu's fanbase across the world is just beyond massive. But Andre has got people listening to classical music when they never would have otherwise. This then acts as gateway to other artists. People are open to this kind of music and then start looking further. The more time he gets people standing at the classical music shelves at the CD stores the better, in my opinion. Of course Hayley deserves an award, but Andre's not undeserving in my opinion.

Thanks very much Dave and John for sharing your wonderful photos of Hayley arriving at the RAH, and to Martin for your report and the setlist. Much appreciated Thanks Jillian for the media photos! And for naming the dress designer
