I quite like the acoustic version of the new single, and it's available in iTunes and on Amazon

Funny they continue to list Hayley as someone he duetted with (which he did), yet their duet is nowhere to be found on his CD or youtube. At least his duet with Josh, which took place at Josh's concert in Scotland in 2011, is viewable on youtube.

Does anybody know what happened here? Obviously she did do a recording with Jai McDowell from the interview quotes, but why is it not actually on the album? I was so disappointed when I saw this thread and went to amazon.co.uk to hear a clip and it turns out to be another female vocalist entirely! Please shed some light... Is the version with Hayley available on a different release of the album?

Hi Hayleyfan 402.
Hayley recorded with Jai the song....but it didn't appear on his album. Somewhere on page 4 of this thread, Libby sent a message to JaiMcDowell to ask about it...and his answer was...it was something technical..or what else.... I remember, when it was announced that Hayley was doing this duet...there was for a short while a sample available, ...but this also disappeared. So far i know....the song wasn't released, so is not available.

Joyce Actually, I think he said that the recording wasn't finished in time, or some invalid sounding reason like that. How could that be true, if the other girl managed to get hers done in time? Personally, I think it was the producers' decision to eliminate Hayley's version. And you know what I think? I think maybe they thought Hayley's voice would overshadow Jai's, because I can totally see that happening. He has a very pleasant voice, but his recordings on his album do not really showcase what vocal power he does have, so I can totally see Hayley's beautiful vocals overshadowing his. I think maybe they didn't want that. Just a theory, is all, but I can't think of any other real reason. Because I don't believe Jai's answer. I'm not saying he was lying, I'm thinking his producers told him that. I bought his album mostly because of the hope of hearing Hayley's duet, as well as the fact I thought he had a good voice and liked some of the songs he sang. However, aside from the alternate duet partner, I thought that the album had the appearance that it had been thrown together in a hurry. The way the songs were listed was not very nice. It wasn't a proper list, it was a paragraph, and none of it was very descriptive. I also thought the recordings on the album versus his live performances on youtube a bit lacking. He sang nicely, but not as much power or passion was put into the vocals as I heard in the live videos. So that was also a bit disappointing. However, his version of Fix You is very beautiful. I also enjoy his With or Without You, very nice. I haven't listened to his music in a while, though. The other songs are just nice cover songs, nothing amazing.
