Udara, Hayley recorded her song with Jai a while ago now. The talent show winners themselves don't have much control over their albums (at least their first albums), so it's even more unlikely that Hayley would be allowed much input.

Today on Twitter, Jai said Play.com is selling signed copies of his album.

Just had a thought, the X-Factor final is on 10th and 11th December this year and it wouldn't surprise me if Jai appeared on that to sing a track from his album. In theory, Hayley could have flown home from NZ before then, and is not due in Taiwan until Wednesday the 14th so in theory... if Jai were to sing The Prayer... Not really, I don't expect Hayley, but ITV have X-Factor, Britains Got Talent and Royal Variety Performance this year so Jai might end up having been on all three by mid December. If so, he could be a candidate for the Christmas no. 1 album and almost certainly it will be top ten. I have added the UK release date to the thread title. Cheers, Dave

But wouldn't they have him on BGT, since that's the show he actually won? Wouldn't it be weird to have a former contestant on that ended up winning a different talent show? I guess it's by the same producers, so I guess it might not be that bad. When does BGT start, anyway? Spring?

Libby,
I don't think such niceties would prevent Smon Cowell from promoting his artist when he has a new album out. There are guest slots on these shows you know. And if they can fly people in from America who have nothing to do with the show, on the pretext of duetting with a con But I testant, who knows what might happen. They seem to make the rules up as thet go along anyway!
BGT is after Christmas, and X Factor before. That way Mr Cowell can dominate prime time TV for half of the year!

And he's also on American TV this fall with the new American version of X Factor! I do hope Hayley could join him on whatever show he does appear on! BGT might fit better with her schedule.

The BGT live shows usually run for a short, concentrated period in late May/early June so quite a while away yet! As the 2011 winner, I would think that Jai is certain to appear at some point - probably the final. And if The Prayer proves to be one of most popular tracks on his album, Hayley could possibly be asked along to sing the duet.
It will be interesting to see how much of a publicity push is given to Jai's album. On BGT, Simon and the other judges seemed to be hoping for a victory by the young boy (Ronan Park) who finished second! Hopefully Jai will get the attention he deserves as the winner.

According to his facebook page he will be putting up clips of new songs every week (1 song per week)- hopefully he'll put The Prayer up on there soon! At the moment it's To Where You Are which I think is really good but personally I prefer Josh Groban's version best wishes Sing

Yes, I like Josh's version better, especially this recorded version. The music sounds kind of boring, at the beginning of the clip.
It seems likely he would be back to sing on BGT next season. On AGT, they had Michael Grimm, last year's winner, on to sing, and then another week Jackie Evancho was on. So, it's entirely possible that both Jai and Ronan will be on at some point. I think it's quite possible Jai would do The Prayer, since some of the other songs he already sang for the competition, and he seems especially excited about doing the duet. However, the articles all mention the U2 song first, so I wonder if he would sing that instead. I don't think I know that song. I only know one of their songs, that I know is by them, anyway.

Jai has posted 3 clips from his new album on his Facebook page, here: www.facebook.com/JaiMcDowallMusic?sk=app_180894238660809They sound really good, especially Fix You. It's really nice to hear it sung by a "proper" male singing voice. I like Chris Martin's falsetto, but Jai makes it sound really graceful and beautiful. I love it! I hope they put a clip of The Prayer up soon! They're only doing it once a week. I'm sure they'll post it, because Jai seems to think of the duet as one of the highlights of working on the album.

I agree Libby, Fix You sounds great-I like Coldplay's version (as it's the original) but i think it's a song which suits classical better to be honest...and I'm hoping that The Prayer will be put up next week with a snippet of Hayley singing with him, not just him alone...provided that I can have a listen next week that is :'/ best wishes Sing

Yeah, hopefully they'll include Hayley singing, too. If Jai has any say, I bet he would because he likes Hayley, but you never know if somebody is doing it for him. Well, they probably are, but it might depend on whether Jai gets to decide what parts of the song are included.
I'm really liking With or Without You, too. The choir part I'm not as crazy about. It sounds okay, but I mostly wanted to hear Jai singing. Hey, if they could put the choir's part in there, they could definitely put Hayley's part in for The Prayer! So hopefully they will.

The latest song is Feels Like Home. Another song Josh has done, but it's a bonus track on Illuminations, so a lot of people haven't heard it, except serious Grobanites... like me, of course. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif But I'm a much more serious "Haylien"! :2fun: I've just been listening to a bunch of live videos, too, including Fix You! Watch here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=16gq3tZpxXI&feature=relatedI'm more and more impressed with him nearly every time I hear him sing!
