Hi everyone,
Well Jai's album Believe is currently ranked no. 207 at Amazon, which is very very poor for the day of an album release (Paradiso was top ten at Amazon UK at this stage). It will of course improve after he is seen on the Royal Variety Performance on Wednesday this week but that may now come too late to save the album from being (and I'm sorry to suggest this) a flop. I'm pretty sure he didn't perform at the X-Factor final at the weekend as I'd hoped (though I didn't watch it).
I'd now guess that Sony and/or Decca decided to pull out of the Hayley duet deal either because of poor pre-release orders and lack of advance interest in the album, or because Sony decided to make it lower profile, with minimal promotion, for whatever reason.
Incidentally, when I checked his official website yesterday, looking for information, it had been hacked - and that is still the case as I write this. I won't link to it as the Hacker's message isn't exactly polite.

I've deleted my post about this album from our Facebook page. It was a long way down so I doubt if anybody will notice. Richard

I've always said that if you ever have any doubt whether a singer is Hayley, then it isn't. She has such a distintive voice, she leaves you in no doubt. Hence, if there is doubt, it isn't her.

Yes, nice one, Libby! Of course, it could have been something as simple as the record producers wanting to change the way The Prayer was done the first time, but Hayley was unavailable by then (on her Worldwide travels!). But we may never know, technical hitch could mean many things. Cheers, Dave

LOL, whoops, I guess I was a little harsh in my disappointment, but maybe that's what got him to respond. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifHmm, he says "we will work together in the future". Not just that he hopes to. But you know how plans like that always go. If you saw all the enthusiastic tweets to him (retweeted by him), you would never be able to tell that the album wasn't doing that well (yet). But, we're enthusiastic for Hayley, too, and that doesn't get her quite as high as we'd like, either. Well, hopefully the RVP will help, as you say. He has already been on some shows, I think. One I recognized as one Hayley was on for Paradiso.

Here is Jai's performance at the RVP. He did a really, really, really good job! Best performance of this song I've seen him do so far, I think. With or Without You: www.youtube.com/watch?v=H12F1PuSpiMI can't wait for his album to arrive, "With or Without" Hayley. That was initially what I really wanted to hear, but Jai himself is good enough for me that I'm excited for just his songs, too.

Lovely performance, his voice I suspect would have went really well with Hayley's! And his set/bk drop and such is awesome! so fitting!

I think that a few Jai fans haven't caught onto the fact that Hayley doesn't feature in this duet - I keep seeing on Twitter and the internet people commenting on how great 'Hayley' sounds. LOL I'm sure if they actually heard the real Hayley they'd be even more impressed!

Hi Martin D, Yes indeed, and that one is on our Youtube too and is currently our no. 1 all-time video for number of views. www.youtube.com/watch?v=PbtWQcKaYig . I love that one! Whispering Hope and We'll Meet Again are rapidly catching it up, though. Dave

I know I like that performance by Hayley, but I didn't think I watched it often enought to make it No. 1 I've just remembered that there is a more recent recording of Hayley performing this song in May this year as a duet with Andrea Bocelli. www.tudou.com/programs/view/HDWuzKB_N1o/Martin D

Well, here you have it, folks: I certainly hope they do. But I really would have liked to hear them sing The Prayer.
