I just thought Aust. & NZ were big rivals. I heard Hugh Jackman being interviewed recently, talking about one time he was going to sing the Australian anthem, and he got booed by a bunch of New Zealanders. And nobody even knew who he was yet, or whether her could even sing or not! That's what he said. I didn't even know he could sing, but then I don't know that much about him.

Hi Simba The final is on Sunday 23rd October. The semis are on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th with the losers playing each other on Friday 21st for third place. I sincerely hope that Hayley has arranged the timing of her flight home to avoid being at 35,000ft when NZ play Australia this Sunday! Martin

Hey come on you all, is it "be nasty to Australia" day or something? Cheers, Dave No way! I just thought Hayley would prefer to sing the French or Welsh ones. Either would be much more challenging to sing because of the language issue - and we know Hayley excels at singing in many different languages. That leaves Will with the English langauge song. And remember, it was France that knocked the All Blacks out of the last World Cup! Martin D If France beat the All Blacks again, now that would cause a very interesting conversation between Hayley and her French friend ! I'd love to be a fly on the wall for that one ! We all know the All Blacks are good. On Sunday we'll find out how good. It strikes me they haven't been asked a serious question in the tournament, until now. In the past favouritism has been a heavy burden for them and although NZ ran in some second half tries against a tiring Argentine side, I thought Australia looked more impressive against tougher opponents in their defeat of the reigning world champions South Africa. It's going to be a tight match for sure, some would say it's the real final in all but name and Hayley may yet have to rehearse the words to "Advance Australia Fair."

FRANCE 9 WALES 8
France sneak into the final. I feel sorry for Wales but when a man is sent off early in a game it is very hard to win a game. But France didn't do much either.
I beat Arnaud is happy. Hopefully NZ wins tomorrow otherwise Hayley might have to sing the French anthem.

What should have been a great match was effectively ruined after 20 minutes when Irish referee Alain Rolland (sounds French !) sent off Welsh captain Sam Warburton for a "dangerous" tackle. All the experts agreed it was a yellow card at most. For the next hour it was a heroic performance by the Welsh as Phillips scored a try but Halfpenny's penalty kick fell agonisingly under the bar. The fact that France played an hour with a man advantage and only won by one point is testimony as much to Welsh courage as French ineptitude. Hopefully we won't see Rolland in the final. As Camilla points out on her Twitter page the French go into the final having already lost 2 matches. Francois Pienaar on ITV said this was the worst team ever to make the final.

Hi Jeff,
I too felt that the Welsh were robbed. The referee I'm told has French ancestry. Why was he allowed to ref that game? Could Wales have objected.
As a neutral I felt that justice was not done and that Wales deserved to win. And I would have loved to see them in the final. France looked nothing like the team they were against England.
Come on the All Blacks!!!

I felt the Welsh were robbed too. But they were partly responsible for their own downfall. Why the SPEAR TACKLE is so dangerous and why our referee would not tolerate it. This may well be a warning to the All Blacks not to repeat the stunts they pulled against the Lions a few years ago. My guess for the FINAL All Blacks 39 to 42 points to France's 6 or maybe 9

They have to beat Australia before they need to worry about France. Very much. Yet.

Indeed. And beating Australia ight be the toughest test yet for the All Blacks in this tournament. Lets hope thay do. I really want tohear Hayley sing God Defend New Zealand, not Advance Austraia Fair or France's bloodthirsty anthem.

My guess for the FINAL All Blacks 39 to 42 points to France's 6 or maybe 9 That's actually the first time I've ever seen that clip, or even knew it happened. Brian O'Driscoll is lucky he wasn't very seriously injured. If that's the same thing the welsh player did, then he was deservedly sent off. A lengthy ban should follow too. I'm not really a rugby follower, but I do believe in fair play in all sports.
