Drat! Hust too late. 1,000,010 is what I got. Congratulations Hayley and all concerned. Martin D Curses! Me,too. I'm wondering if it ever appeared at 1,000,000. I noticed that it had often been going up in blocks. If I had seen it at 999,999, I was going to capture it at that just in case it jumped over 1,000,000. Guess we'll have to wait to see if there ever was a 1,000,000, and someone captured it. I only saw it at 999,965 and 1,000,010. BobS |

My screen-capture of the video with a count of 1,000,010 shows a local time of 4:21PM yesterday. Today at 4:21PM it shows 1,001,038. It would be interesting to know, if the info is available, if the hits are coming from a particular part of the world, or from everywhere in general. Very interesting.

Hi Dave,
Very much appreciate seeing that info. I am glad that you mentioned your reading of the higher numbers as possibly attributable to NZ expats. A quick rough calculation for the time that the video has been up shows a per-day average of just under 1,000. (1,000,000 divided by 365x3-60 = 966.)
It certainly is a nice video.

Million seller! Well views - nearly... Hayley's God Defend NZ sung at the 2011 Rugby World Cup closing ceremony is likely to hit one million Youtube views some time in the next 24 hours. It is the top video on our Youtube channel and currently stands at 999,062 views. It's also the top Youtube video of the NZ National Anthem that I can find by a long way, so good is Hayley's rendition!
