With witlessness that could only come from ITV they cut short Hayley singing "Now is the Hour". It was a clearly emotional moment for all NZ. A magnificent win, a magnificent match. The French played well and persisted and it was a damned close call that was won on the plains of Christchurch!!!!

Congratulations to the All Blacks for the win - it was close, the French team were tough!!!! 8 - 7. Hayley sung her National Anthem brilliantly before the start and TV showed much more of her than they usually do at such events. You can watch Hayley singing God Defend New Zealand here on our Youtube channel - in high definition. God Defend New Zealand - Hayley at the World Cup FinalSimba, Hayley sang World In Union about ten minutes before God Defend New Zealand - I heard it on Talk Sport radio behind the discussion. That may have been her "surprise" extra song. Cheers, Dave No Dave, I think that refers to "Now is the Hour" Did you capture that? That would have been superb. Oh to have been there when she sang that! P{eter S.

Wow, that was a close match with France playing most of the rugby in the second half. But congratulations to New Zealand as they didn't lose a match throughout the tournament and had to cope with the most pressure in this final. Hayley, as we expected, gave wonderful performances that fitted the occasion. Did anyone hear her join in on "World in Union" at the end? I did! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifMartin

Martin: I did I did!!! That was so amazing and unexpected! When they got the cup! Her voice was sooo powerful, and so fitting, but they never showed her singing. I was like omg, she didn't sing it fully, and they didn't even show her, but I had hopes that she'd come again and she did! This was truly a special moment for me, being Indian, I've never got the opportunity to watch her on TV, but this time I subscribed to Neosports that they had this on, just yesterday, and got to watch both of her performances fully, LIVE! I feel so blessed! I'll never forget this ever! What joy Hayley brings into the lives of people! Long live Hayley!

Hello everyone What a fantastic result! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif I only saw the first 10 minutes of the game before heading off to church but a member of the choir told me the score was 5 - 0 when she came in. I did watch all of the first half hour of coverage by ITV though and thought Hayley was absolutely magnificent. She looked so proud and I felt so proud of her myself and actually found myself becoming quite emotional. Twitter has been alive with comments. Hayley tweeted this a few minutes ago and one for the ladies Best wishes Grant

Yes, Ross. If Dave hasn't got it, please share if you can. That I think would have been better than the anthem. She was very emotional in the opening piece I did see. Peter S.

These stills Jillian are superb. That looks a lovely dress showing far more detail than my tv showed. It looks a very exciting and attractive dress in a superb subtle Hayley low-key but stunning style.

Thanks for uploading the video so quickly, Dave! It was a lovely performance by Hayley, and there's a very fitting comment on our website: Well done Hayley, and the All Blacks! Richard

Yes, Ross PLEASE post Hayley singing "Now is the hour" as it was intensely moving and entirely appropriate. I don't think Dave will have it on UK coverage since at 11.14 Steve Rider starting talking over the song and then cut to a commercial break. By the time they came back Hayley had finished.
So well done Hayley and well done the All Blacks. 24 long years of waiting are finally over. Do you guys in NZ have any fingernails left ? That second half must have been the longest 40 minutes of your lives ! The right result though but don't forget France who did European rugby proud.
If you missed the match or can bear to watch again, the highlights are on ITV1 tonight at 5pm. Phew ! I'm going for a lie down.!
