strange- when I discovered this thread yesterday there was news about Venice and its flooding- seems wore than normal- perhaps this thread is cursed! Whenever someone looks at it for the first time, somewhere gets flooded Hi Northern Lights, If you think that is strange, the day after I watched this film there was a tidal surge from the North Sea down the east coast of England and the Thames barrier was closed! Fortunatly, unlike the film it proved to be a false alarm. Dazza That's good, but don't reccomend anyone new to look at this thread! I don't want people dying b/e of some new people looking at a thread.

Hi Graham and Thomas, a great film to my mind, too. It's a pity that the credits were cut off. Like Thomas I'll probably buy the DVD. Cheers, Karsten Hi Karsten, I would prefer to get the CD of the sound track but it seems a rarer item ! Best Wishes, Graham

Hello Graham! You should be able to find the soundtrack CD in larger branches of HMV. Alternatively you can purchase it online HERE. Best Wishes, Richard

HI, ITV had FLOOD on their schedule for release on terrestrial TV this Winter. Because of the legacy of the floods in the UK last June/July still leaving many families in temporary accommodation. ( It was on the Radio yesterday focusing on Hull) they have decided to 'shelve it' for the moment. Understandable, but a pity people did not get to hear the sound track . Still I expect it will play at some stage in the future. Graham

Hello Graham and everybody! If you're really eager to see the film you could buy the DVD, which is currently available in the HMV Sale for only £7. I bought one last week, but I haven't got round to watching it yet. Richard

Thanks Drew,
I noticed that ITV seem to have started advertising it as soon as this Sunday turned to Monday - it is scheduled to run from 8:05 pm to 10pm next Sunday May 4th so it's probably not been cut.

Dave I have just checked the Radio Times and see that tonight is episode 1 of 2. Concludes same time tomorrow. Dave how do they make a 107 minute film last for 240 minutes? Please do not tell me that it will include 133 minutes of adverts, I might just play the DVD twice. If you have not seen the video yet please watch it (and more importantly listen to it). There are a couple of scenes where a familiar voice pops up with perfect timing. Tissues at the ready if you have any hint of emotion in your body!

Seems that we have some extra scenes which were not on the DVD. You will have to wait a few minutes more before Hayley appears (tomorrow).

Hello everyone
Didn't get home tonight until about 10.15 - nothing useful on 'the box' so decided to watch my "Flood" DVD.
Generally speaking, I found it to be a fairly typical disaster movie but quite entertaining nonetheless. Now I'm one of those people who find the personal issues between characters in this type of movie have more impact than the disaster itself.
What I wasn't expecting was the impact of Hayley's haunting vocals - introduced for the first time about 105 minutes in and with perfect timing. Debbie certainly knew what she wanted to achieve and she has done it magnificently.
I probably would not bother to watch this movie again were it not for Hayley's vocals, but I will make sure the tissues are closer to hand next time!
Best wishes Grant

Hi Grant,
Well, as I mentioned on the other thread I should not have created, I sat through the first part and have not heard Hayley's voice yet. But the encouragement I have received here means I will have to watch tomorrow's episode.
