I got a mail from hayley westenra today (the website newsletter) which included this awesome timeline flash thing, www.hayleywestenra.com/timeline/It's so amazing to see everything from her start to now in a very beautiful manner. This deserves a separate topic because it has got videos of the following *Pokarekare ana *What you never know *Both Sides Now *Water is Wide *Shenandoah (new) *One Fine Day (new) [We only had a medley of these before, not the actual music video] *Gabriel's Oboe The videos rock...XD

I received the link as well. The timeline is a very nice and succinct summary of Hayley's career with an intro from Hayley herself. Whilst it is aimed to raise awareness just prior to the UK launch of Paradiso, I'm not too sure that many people will look at it other then Hayley's ardent fans. Martin

That was my immediate impression too, Martin. I don't think it's going to significantly increase Hayley's Paradiso sales, but it's something nice for us perennial fans to look at! A nice tribute from her record company. Thanks for posting the link Simba. Cheers, Dave

Hi everyone.
This is indeed superb. In view of the great deal of time and expense to create it, it is a pity that the icing on the cake isn't set as well as it might be. The latter videos do not provide the facility of making them full screen. Where this is available in the earlier videos it is unusual in that one clicks the obvious sign, which then causes another sign at the top right of the video to appear. This also requires clicking before you get full screen. Nothing wrong with that but having provided that facility for the earlier videos it is a shame, particularly for the composition video the facility is not available for that and the latter ones.
Another problem is the press release stories. Many of these I have not seen before and when I enlarged them I still could not read them, which is a shame. Perhaps we already have those scans in a more readable form, gang?
I am being pedantic, because the collective whole and the principle of the whole thing I think is a superb statement and tribute to her and well worth the doing.

Hi Dave, Martin and Everyone.
I think this should be seen as a tribute of achievement and is there for the next ten years. We have no idea how many access her official site but perhaps people who might on a chance hearing want to follow through for more detail before ordering Paradiso, may well use it to learn and hear more, especially fans of Morricone who would buy Paradiso for that reason and then wish to learn more of Hayley to buy her back stuff.

Yeah I do not know it's influence on Paradiso sales, but it was indeed a pleasure to go through all of it in a slide for us fans , so it was sweet of her/them to do something like this for us, very creatively done too!

I like it too. The only problem I have with it is that all the videos are out of sync with the audio by at least half a second, which makes it look as if she's just really bad at lip syncing/miming.

The Pokarekare Ana music video has always been my favorite, so it was fun to watch it again.

I don't seem to be able to play the videos on any of my computers. I just get a black screen with a circling arrow that stays there for ever! Have I got a missing codec or something? I'd have thought I would have them all by now.
And I often can't read the articles either, even if I zoom in (Ctrl +), the print is not clear enough.

Hi Everyone.
I am so sorry so many are unable to see these videos, They ran for me perfectly and are superb. I mentioned in my earlier post the problem with the newspapers and I think that is a shame. It is good to see the layout and to understand the splash they gave their article but a plain text readable version as well would have been marvellous.
