Libby: You must select the "TimeLine" tab instead of Main Menu, and then move the slider, it's very simple....XD Oh, really? I DID, and it didn't help very much. It still had problems moving on to the next thing, in order! I am capable of reading, and it's not the first time I've ever used a computer. It's not my fault if my computer doesn't handle weird things like this very well! As I said, I even tried it in Firefox. That usually helps, but this time it was worse. Hi Libby and everyone. I think I understand Libby's point. You need to come out of each video and then click the next 'option' individually, which may or may not be a video, so if you need to move the time line itself (by clicking on its specific marker), it tends to be a macro adjustment rather than a micro adjustment. Trying to be helpful. Peter S.

ahh yes,
the Email and PM system on the Official Forum can be quite erratic and unpredictable at times.
For our US fans in particular it has not been very user friendly for years. I sometimes wonder if it is an international security issue or interference from an outside party that causes the problems on it. Who knows what Big Brother is doing, or even who's Big Brother it is ?
you can end up with results like this :
Google tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the recipient domain. We recommend contacting the other email provider for further information about the cause of this error. The error that the other server returned was: 550 550 5.1.1
I just love all the fives in the error code, Like a Hollywood film phone number always seems to have a 555 sequence in it, 555 also describes a particular electronic timer as well.

Anyone having trouble with the videos, I suggest it might be a good idea to make sure your Java is up to date, as most of these types of things tend to use the Java Runtime Environment (JRE). A black screen is a typical problem with outdated Java.

Sad to see that Decca still hasn't learned that complete videos are a good idea. Only a few of the vids on the timeline are complete, which is very counter-productive, IMO. Some of the most recent aren't even up at all, yet, which is not clever, either.

Hello,
as several of you commented, the timeline videos do work now, at least for me. Decca must have definitely worked on them.

Yes, Peter, that is what I was talking about. I even clicked on some of them again to see if it was just being slow or something. It started to do it by itself at first, but eventually it just wouldn't go any farther; or either that or it would switch way too far ahead. Just when it seemed like it was working better, there would be some new problem, and I just got tired of it, especially when I realized how much time I'd been trying to work with it. I'm not going to back to it, either. I've seen most of the stuff before. I can find most of the videos on youtube, and I can't read the articles the way they have it there, anyway. It takes a long time to browse through the media board here, but it's far easier than this timeline was. It might be a java thing with me too, but I'm not knowledgeable enough about that. The people I know who are aren't always available to help me with such things, so I usually have to deal with everything the way it is.

I'm in the US and seem to have no problem with it.

It's usually either 'Java needs updating' or 'Flash needs updating' with those things, if they aren't working. Either that or they haven't been set up right, of course, but thankfully that's the rarer reason

Peter S As an inveterate gamer, that is less a option, for me! (Plus Windows will update stuff if you tell it to...)
