Hi everyone, From máxima a monthly women's magazine.
Can we assume Paradiso will be released here on the 29th? Hi Paulo, Perhaps, so I will move your post into the Continental Europe thread where we can discuss it better. Cheers, Dave

I think when 'World in Union' was first released at a previous World Cup, anyone who was anyone in classical crossover contributed. Think they may be using those credits. Regards Bill

The World in Union cd album, is a compilation.....like there was one in 2007, so there are more artists contributing on this album, but Hayley will sing the title song, which will be used for the television broadcasts. So, Hayley will be singing the opening titles of ITV's coverage? Or all channels?

I believe since it's the official theme song for the whole world cup, it'll be promoted in all channels....

Hi Simba and I-H-F,
I think the indications so far are that whilst World In Union is the official theme for the Rugby World Cup, Hayley's newly recorded version of that song is just for ITV's coverage of the tournament. It will I suspect also be released as a single, and as part of a 'various artists' album which includes songs by other people (but this information comes only from Japanese CD sellers so far).
However, I can think of no reason why other broadcasters shouldn't also adopt Hayley's version if they like it, and if the contract with ITV allows it (or by separate agreement).
So for now, it's just for ITV (and the single and CD) I think but I hope it will be adopted by others too. We shall have to wait and see.
Cheers, Dave

Of course, although we have not yet heard Hayley's version of The World in Union, we have heard Hayley sing other words to that tune, which of course comes from Gustav Holst's "Jupiter, the Bringer of Jollity". I have a even video of it on my channel. She sang this unrehearsed, because she was asked to do so in memory of some soldiers who had been killed in Afghanistan. That's why she needed the little book with the words in. www.youtube.com/watch?v=SMHKtM7JzrsMartin D

Hey, maybe those were the French and Japanese recordings she was doing (that is, if it wasn't for Paradiso).

Wow this is really exciting- I can't wait for the single/ songs to be released!! It's one of my favourite songs anyway but it'll be great to It's great to hear that she's going to be on ITV too during that time...I'm not too fond of rugby...I've never been able to understand the rules or anything...but my dads a big fan...im not sure how much he watches though he spends most of the time shouting at the referee (i think)...but I might be able to force myself to watch this year (!) also it means she can show her support to the All Blacks from the UK too... best wishes Sing
