Paradiso: Continental Europe releases

On the German Amazon page, they have a version that looks like the German/European version of Paradiso. The release date is shown as August 30th, and it does not list it as an import.

I checked the France and Italy Amazon sites, too. France lists Paradiso as an import, released on Sept. 6. Italy does not list it at all, and all her other releases there appear to be from Germany. So I guess this is the European version? Although the code number is the same as the UK version, so it's the same thing.

Where are all our German fans, anyway?

I'm not sure if there will be a seperate german release.So far i only found the UK release, barcode 0028947830870
wich will be released(possibly) all over europe, as a European release.

I suspect that for some time yet, it will be difficult for us to be sure which Continental European Countries will release domestic versions of Paradiso and when, so I think it's best to discuss them all in this one thread started by Libby. So I have slightly changed the thread title accordingly.

Please post any information you can find about this, especially members who live in and/or speak the languages of those Countries!

Thanks for the Portuguese article Paulo, it does look like the 29th August but I would of course be even more convinced if you or anyone could find a major online CD seller that intends to stock a domestic version (i.e. not an import), to confirm the date.

The version mentioned by Paulo, has the same barcode, so should be the same than the UK one.
But what i realize now......
Since we have the European Union, and most countries are part of it,there will only be ....a European release!!!

I've been asked to point out that the UK and German releases both have the same catalogue number. It seems very likely therefore, that all the European versions will be identical.

I looked for news about paradiso in websites from Spain, Google News couldn't find anything... And as for online stores selling it, I was rather surprised when I found hmv.es, I've never seen that store in Spain, so I think it's just a Spanish website for the UK store, even more when not everything is translated. www.hmv.es/cd/hayley-westenra/paradiso/10427552.html

I've been asking several times in Fnac, a Spanish store that sells electronics and media, books music and more... And it is one of the most popular places to buy music... They had no news of Paradiso being released, however the last tiem I asked was a couple of months ago, so I may ask again soon... The only CD they had in the records was the Hayley Westenra compilation album, and they don't have it anymore... I hoped that Paradiso could be the first true Hayley album released in Spain, but I am starting to loose the hope...
