Good luck to New Zealand & Scotland today! It will certainly be a great match. I apologize in advance to our Scottish members but I will be supporting the All Blacks! By the way, I just found a video of Hayley singing in France at the Stade de France in November 2006. You can see it on Daily Motion. The French commentator is so wrong! I can't believe he said the kiwi singer was Lucie Fitzpatrick. Who on earth is she anyway? Awhhh. However, he is clearly 'westenwowed' after the anthem. He says something like: 'This is absolutely MAGNIFICENT!! The anthem was a cappela!' i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif 'God Defend New Zealand' is followed by 'La Marseillaise'. Not as good as Hayley's performance, I must say. I posted a comment under the video to say that it was Hayley Westenra and NOT Lucie whatever. I'm still sad to know that Hayley won't be back at the Stade de France for the Rugby World Cup. Stephany Thanks for finding that Stephany. It was another wonderful rendition of "God Defend New Zealand" by our Hayley. Don't know why it is, but I always think Hayley looks fabulous in her All Blacks top over jeans and boots. Love Grant

Good match, well-done to the Kiwis! Dan Carter wasn't at his best form, though. It gives French (little) hope if we want to beat the All Blacks in Cardiff in quarter finals. If we qualify of course! Unless Ireland beats Argentina and then we will be 1st of our group and our quarter final will be against Scotland or Italy. Stephany

Hi Belinda Saw the match on TV myself, Scotland never really had much of a chance unfortunately... Well done to the winners anyway! Next match is against Italy of course. Would be interesting to play France in the quarter finals! David

Hi All, During the Concert in Langholm Hayley told us that, 'Lascia Ch'io Pianga' translates to: “let me weep at my cruel fate”... As David explained in his Concert Report- Hayley teased us Scots about the (then) upcoming rugby match- underlining a likely "All Blacks" win at Murrayfield. Hayley... we can only take comfort from the song like you suggested. That's all we have left! Andrew

Hi all, The US cable channel Versus aired the NZ- Scotland replay today! I wonder why the All Blacks wore sort of silver jerseys? They said who NZ were going to play next...I've forgotten though No worries! Joe

Hi Joe, Usually our team will wear a different colour if the team they are playing has a similar colour jersey. Scotland usually wear dark blue and the AB's Black of course. But for some strange reason they both wore their alternate tops silly Belinda

My elderly mother (whose eyesight has been better) was watching the Scotland v All Black match and asked me: "How do you tell the two teams apart ? They both look the same colour to me !" "It's easy " I replied. "The team doing all the scoring is New Zealand !!"

Thanks, Belinda. I have to admit I'm worried about England's next match on Friday. Tonga ran South Africa very close the other day (only 5 points in it) and although England stepped up their game against Samoa, they'll have to improve again if they are to avoid the early plane home. If not, my lucky hat will be in the dustbin !

*whispers* Romania, Joe Their next match is on Saturday 29 September in Toulouse. Stephany This match is marked in my schedule! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif Unfortuneately the German sportchannel DSF doesn't broadcast every match. But NZ-Romania is shown in the TV programme so I'm quite optimistic being able to watch the match. Thomas
