Hello everyone, Thanks to the interview with Hayley in Weekly News this week, posted by Grant here we now have an indication that Hayley may be singing before all the All Blacks matches in the 2007 Rugby World Cup. This will take place in France between 7th September and 20th October 2007. This information is currently unconfirmed therefore it may or may not happen.However, this aspect of the interview will of course arouse a lot of interest among Hayley fans so I have started this thread now and I will publish the schedule... which is taken from the Rugby World Cup official website. Here are all the matches that *could* involve New Zealand: Match | Date | Team 1 | Team 2 | Pool | Venue | KO (local French time) | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | 2 | 08-Sep-07 | New Zealand | Italy | C | Marseille | 13:45 | 14 | 15-Sep-07 | New Zealand | Repechage 1 | C | Lyon | 13:00 | 28 | 23-Sep-07 | Scotland | New Zealand | C | Edinburgh | 17:00 | 34 | 29-Sep-07 | New Zealand | Romania | C | Toulouse | 13:00 | 42 | 06-Oct-07 | W Pool C | RU Pool D | QF2 | Cardiff | 21:00 | 44 | 07-Oct-07 | W Pool D | RU Pool C | QF4 | St Denis | 21:00 | 45 | 13-Oct-07 | W QF1 | W QF2 | SF1 | St Denis | 21:00 | 46 | 14-Oct-07 | W QF3 | W QF4 | SF2 | St Denis | 21:00 | 47 | 19-Oct-07 | | | Bronze | Paris | 21:00 | 48 | 20-Oct-07 | | | Final | St Denis | 21:00 |
I'm sure someone will check this from the link I gave to make sure that it's right Cheers, Dave

This is bad news Dave I agree with your dates and can't see how Hayley can possibly fit in anywhere near enough time for a visit back home to NZ let alone enough for a concert tour!! Let's hope it will be later in the year. At least that will mean Spring or Summer for those of us hoping to go. I guess we'll have to ask her next time we see her!! Grant

Hi Belinda, New Zealand have games in the Rugby World Cup on 08/09/07 (Marseille), 15/09/07 (Lyon), 23/09/07 (Edinburgh) , 29/09/07 (Toulouse) and no doubt some more in October if they progress in the above. With Hayley's support in Europe the All Blacks won 4 out of 4. Now if Hayley is touring New Zealand in September 2007 then the All Blacks will not have the benefit of Hayley's magical spell. Perhaps another team will have a chance. Bring back the Haka, rugby is not the same without it. I have a number of tickets to see Rugby World Cup games during September. Selling those on eBay would pay for a nice trip down south! I did warn Belinda back in December. Please read the thanks in the new album: "Also a big thank you to - the best rugby team in the world, the All Blacks!" At least it is not all bad for our two Scots representatives.

Hello Dave and everybody! I've also checked the dates, and they seem to be correct. Of course the only definite dates so far are the four in September, but with Hayley supporting them, the All Blacks must surely be odds-on favourites to win the World Cup! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifGood luck Hayley, and New Zealand! Sounds like Hayley confessed to the BBC audience this morning that she would be supporting the All Blacks in the World Cup during September.

It only says "confirmed to sing at the world cup finals" these are in October - but can we say for sure that the All Blacks will be there? I guess so but it seems a bit risky to put it in print. It now begs the question. Is Hayley going to sing at ALL the All Black's games? Or did The Weekly News get it wrong? If the answer is yes, then its a big commitment for Hayley, spread over the period it is. We will ask her the question!! Grant

Hi Grant, yep that would be the way to go. Next time you get to see Hayley see what else you can find out. This could well be the reason why there is nothing mentioned as yet in the NZ Ticketek newsletter that I get re Hayley concerts here in NZ around Sept of this year. I still think the earliest we will see Hayley here in concert will be Jan/Feb 2008,after her xmas break like she did in 2006. But we shall see, cheers, Rodders

Hi Rodders.
I know that will mean you Kiwi's having to wait a bit longer (although she did tell us she was going home in April) but it will be better for us Brit's with it being summer and all that!
Also means we'll have a bit longer to save up!

Considering that NZ will probably go to the finals...she'll have to stay a bit longer in France! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifEDIT : just in case you're wondering who their opponents will be, obviously I'd say France. DOUBLE EDIT : OK - I know, last time there was a match between France & NZ, Hayley sang the national anthem. And the Kiwis beat us 47-3. All your fault, Hayley!

Hello everybody! As the Rugby World Cup approaches, it's time to revive this thread. For information, an official 2007 Rugby World Cup album titled 'World in Union' is due to be released in September, and it will include Hayley singing 'Pokarekare Ana'. There is a thread about this on the Other Albums sub-board HERE. I see New Zealand's first match is against Italy at Marseille on 8th September, so I make it... 34 days to go! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif Once again, good luck Hayley and the All Blacks!
