... I have requested it for playing on de wireless this morning for Hayley and Ennio in anticipation of good news from Britain..... Was Ennio involved in producing "Here' to You" for the album? I was under the impression he wasn't since it was a Joan Baez song. Information from Wikipedia : The song is Part 3 of a 3-part piece, Ballad of Sacco and Vanzetti composed for the soundtrack of the film directed by Giuliano Montaldo. The lyrics are taken from an actual letter by Bartolomeo Vanzetti: "Father, yes, I am a prisoner / Fear not to relay my crime". This inspired Baez to write the lyrics. Music by Ennio Morricone, the composer of a great number of films, is the repetition of the same musical line for 10 times, with the first two without any lyrics. In the United States and worldwide, the song became a veritable human rights movement in the 1970s Who's up for up-dating the Wikipedia article to include Hayley's version ? Just did it ! Isn't technology amazing. :2fun: and they let the likes of me in there to do it Now where is that "Launch missile button"

Sufficient time has passed to get an idea of favourite tracks.
Malena would seem to be Marty Whelan's favourite track from Paradiso,
It is the song he has played most often from the album on his morning show on RTE Lyric FM.

Good thinking Paul, the poll is 4 years old! So I have locked it.
I think the standout vote is for Amalia Por Amor, it did amazingly well to finish 2nd. and who would have thought 5 years ago that we'd hear Hayley performing a song like that live, and with so much feeling and power!
Cheers, Dave

I'm not a big fan of "Locked threads"
It prevents new members adding an opinion or older members coming back to a subject with a different perspective as time passes..

Only the poll Paul, only the poll. As you have already discovered, the thread is not locked. Polls on the Internet in my experience are usually locked automatically after a few days, weeks or occasionally months and I just think we forgot to set this one up like that. There is no reason why members shouldn't continue to comment though, or even create a new poll to find out if opinions have changed. But as always, our ears are open to considering members' wishes... Cheers, Dave

I still can't make up my mind which track is my favourite, I might try again in another few years, to make up my mind that is.

Well, I have several favourites over time, perhaps it is that sort of album. But these days I agree with your friend Marty - Malena. Just so beautiful.

Malena has been among my top 2 since the beginning, along with Amalia.

My favorite tracks are La Califfa and Once Upon A Time In West.
Would anyone please tell me if the Amazing Grace bonus track in Japansee version is new recorded or not?
