Da Quel Sorriso Che Non Ride Piu is a very, very nice song sung by Mireille Mathieu (VERY, VERY BEAUTIFUL, I can't imagine how heavenly it will sound in Hayley's voice). I listened to that since you said it was VERY beautiful...and I'm quite disappointed by it's much alikeness to Cinema Paradiso, it's almost like a slightly modified vocal version of Cinema Paradiso....it's a lovely song, and I know it's hayley's fav too, but as it is there're are two Cinema Paradisos....in the tracklisting -_-.....Oh well I'll just hope each version has considerable difference...Still lovin' the album MUCH XD

Very, VERY excited about this! I am not going to pre-order though. I like the excitement of going into JB Hi Fi on Monday morning and grabbing a copy in my hands and paying cash for it at the cashier! It's just more special to me. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifYeah, I'd love to do that, too, but airfare is pricey these days. I know what you mean, though. I liked doing that with Winter Magic at Barnes & Noble. Believe me, I'll be buying the U.S. version in person if I can help it! Well, I pre-ordered River of Dreams, and then saw it for sale in my local supermarket before my copy arrived. So I know where you are coming from Dori. Martin D

see!! its a best seller and it isnt even sold yet they must think we are the wierdest bunch though, ordering a NZ CD all the way around the world in, like, england. Hi Spiderman I thought Paradiso was being released in NZ Apr 18. Can't you just buy it off the shelf and get it ahead of everyone? Best Wishes Larry hi larry, dori will beat me too it by... about 7.5 hrs; but yes... my point was much the same as the salisbury cd though; with respect to getting orders from far-flung places they may not have expected the spiderman

Marbecks seem to be set up for overseas orders though Spidey. The Underhills who organised the Salibury Cathedral concert were not.
If they have had a huge influx of orders from abroad, it is a measure of how much we all love Hayley and how much we all want to get hold of this album.

Martin D it must be amusing though, to get so many orders from overseas for an album that only the initiated know of. Here mostly, only people who read AWW know about it. theres been no publicity reported to me and record shops ive been in dont seem to have any posters/ advertising. anyone seen any? wouldnt she be rapt if Paradiso sold out before it was released? [inasmuch as thats possible].

I was wondering if the Gabriel's Oboe one might be vocalese, but maybe it is the Metti Una Sera a Cena, like the original version Michal describes. Maybe "Once Upon A Time In The West"? I'm dreaming with it!! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifBest wishes, Paulo Correia

Maybe there are more than one vocalese track. Well, maybe once Hayley goes back to promote it, more people will be aware. Or maybe they won't promote it as much till the UK version is released? I would hope they wouldn't wait for that, but who knows?

Aren't most of the tracks vocalese? because according to what vocalese actually means..."Vocalese is a style or genre wherein lyrics are written for melodies that were originally part of an all-instrumental composition or improvisation."
And in this case almost all the tracks were originally instrumental compositions of Ennio and lyrics are written for it....
So I don't get when you guys say will there be one or two vocalese songs...XD
OR
if you guys meant "vocal I se" which is the aaaah and stuff, without words (like bachaianas brasilieriras) But, this is what the article said "Paradiso showcases Hayley singing in English, Italian, French, Portuguese and Vocal'E'se."
Which can easily mean she's singing lyrical songs of ennio's compositions....(Unless it's a spelling mistake, which I don't think they'd make,....) Either way I'm way tooo excited for the dynamic music this album's gonna have!

I do think it's possibly a spelling mistake, simba. We could argue about the correctness of the expresion "singing in vocalise", as "vocalise" is not a language... But even doubting of its correctness, in the context it has much more sense than "singing in vocalese", taking the meaning you mention. "vocalese" has no sense said when mentioning languages.

I see, so in that way, I think it'd be cool if Once upon a time is vocalise

I see, so in that way, I think it'd be cool if Once upon a time is vocalise I have it on very good authority that there IS some vocalise (with an 'i') on at least one track. As this came from the same source that told me the name of the album before it was officially released, I'm sure it's correct.
