Listen to it in order! I think the first track is the best, and the way the track list is ordered is very symmetrical. That's what I would recommend.

Hi everyone My copy arrived in perfect condition this morning (I ordered it on the 18th from Marbecks). It would be interesting to know how many people have ordered it outside New Zealand? I feel quite privileged to probably be one of a few people in the UK with a copy. I will definitely be staying in this evening - any advice about which tracks to listen to first would be gratefully received! David M Hi David, Don't be afraid to turn up the volume. There is a lot going on and you don't want to miss a single thing. BillR

HOORRAYYYY!!I don't suppose you can guess what I just got in the mail today? And yes, it appears my CD was peered at by customs, as the small cardboard box it was in wasn't tightly closed. The CD and case are fine, though. Well, actually, a few pieces are broken from the jewel thing in the center of the CD spot. My other NZ CDs (HW & MGTY) both suffered the same fate. You mean those customs guys were a bit ham fisted when the too it out to listen to it?? Shame on them! I don'texpect to hear much from you for the next day or two Libby Enjoy. Martin D

Mine, it's very near, I have the notification that it's now at the local Post Office, tomorrow it will be here (the CD not the invitation to the Royal Wedding!) Best wishes, Paulo Correia

Enjoy it Paulo. Like Comet, make a special occasion of it. It will only be once in your liftime that you hear Paradiso for the first time. All my first hearings of Hayleys albums I remember. Except perhaps Pure, since I heard most of those songs live first.

i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif Just seen the TV ad for Paradiso again, it was during the 6 O'Clock News on TV One. With Hayley on her way back to NZ I imagine more promotion will occur. In the Warehouse store they had Paradiso at No. 7.

Thanks for the advice Bill and the Chicago fan
I listened to the whole album last night and enjoyed tacks 1, 4, 12 & 14 the most. I think this album reveals the power and range in Hayley's voice (which is evident when you hear her live) more so than her previous albums. One slight criticism would be that in some places I think the musical accompaniment can be a bit overpowering.
Susie, it's interesting yours came a day later since we both ordered it the same day and we both live in Herts!

YAY! After thhese last days of being absent (due to my crazy work on Sant Andreu Jazz Band's videos and pics which I will post shortly in the Andrea Motis thread if anyone is interested), I come to announce that... my Paradiso arrived today, it was at my home when I arrived this afternoon from university!
Gonna listen to it now!

Paradiso is here at last! My impression after first listen: a little overwhelming, but very beautiful nevertheless. This album is surely something special. I have some initial favourites, which will probably change after a few more listens, but I must say I'm absolutely spellbound by Hayley's performance in Amália Por Amor! GREAT!! And yes, you're absolutely right. That's all I'll be listening to for a while... voluntarily that is. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifUnfortunately I've only had time to listen all the way through once. After the first listen, I immediately went back to the initial standouts. And then last night I listened to Whispers, even though I had to get up early in the morning. I just couldn't go another moment without hearing it again! It was so amazing. As soon as it started, I was so thrilled and amazed at Hayley and her new album. I'll wait till I've listened to everything several more times before I give a detailed review.

Paradiso was reviewed on Paul Holme's show on Newstalk ZB today at around 11:50am.
