Hello folks! Here's an interesting tweet from Laura: Congratulations Laura! Richard Has she got the month right? I googled for the date and got this: 8 October: Triple bill: Limen, Marguerite and Armand, Requiem. Wayne McGregor’s 2009 work set to Kaija Saariaho’s cello concerto and a ravishing LED lightscape, Ashton’s tragic romance for Fonteyn and Nureyev, now with the lip-smacking cast of Tamara Rojo and Sergei Polunin, or Zenaida Yanowsky and Federico Bonelli; and MacMillan’s Requiem, a lyrically beautiful lament for John Cranko to Fauré’s Requiem. Laura has announced today that her new album called Glorious will be released on 21st May, just in time for the tour supporting Russell Watson and several of the tracks fit nicely along patriotic lines. Another album to get pre-ordered

Hi everyone I've just received an email from Laura Wright's site which is very interesting: Britain's most exciting new soprano Laura Wright flies the flag for the Commonwealth with new Diamond Jubilee Song, Stronger As One Today's Commonwealth Day Message delivered by The Queen at Westminster Abbey made reference to the newly-composed song, Stronger As One. Young soprano Laura Wright, accompanied by Reading Blue Coat School Choir, premiered the new song - Stronger As One - in Westminster Abbey in front of representatives from all over the Commonwealth.
Stronger as One is now available to buy as a download, with Decca Records donating a minimum of 50p from every digital single to The Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Trust. It's available on iTunes and I think there is a snippet of the song on youtube now. You can also listen here: soundcloud.com/laurawrightofficial/laura-wright-glorious-strongerbest wishes Sing

Thanks for the link, Sing! I heard Laura talking about this on the Classic FM News yesterday evening. The song reminds me of Hayley's 'World In Union' for the Rugby World Cup. Richard

The song is well performed by Laura and should be very popular as the official Jubilee anthem. I'm just a tad disappointed that Hayley wasn't chosen to sing and record it.

Bought the song!
There's an article in todays Daily Mail saying that Laura has sold 2.5 million albums. Even with All Angels included in that count (which they obviously are though Daily Mail didn't mention them once) I still can't get my head around that figure. Perhaps Dave can help?
