I think that about access to iTunes USA, Japan, Australia... Region selling sucks.

Hello folks! Classic FM's John Suchet is very supportive of Laura Wright, and he played her recording of 'Blow The Wind Southerly' at No.3 in today's Most Wanted. This is another track from her new album 'The Last Rose', due to be released next month. Richard

John Suchet played Laura's 'The Last Rose of Summer' at No.9 in today's Classic FM Most Wanted. It was in the list for three days, so persistence finally paid off. Richard

Classic FM are really getting behind Laura Wright now. 'The Last Rose' is John Suchet's CD of the Week this week, so he's playing a track after 10am each day from Monday to Friday. I also heard an advertisement for the CD twice this morning. Richard

Laura was also on "Pop star to opera star" last night, not a show I much care for. In fact I only caught it because Wimbledon finished early ! (She sang a song with The Feeling and Sophie Ellis Baxter, available on itv.com/pop for 7 days).

I... didn't get it... I rather like PSTOS mash ups but Laura's contribution just didn't fit. It was basically a pop performance and they added Laura at beginning at end to try and make it "classically related". It was just weird for me.

Yes, I saw that too. Our motorhome has a TV. Those pop musicians just didn't fit with her. Or with the programme. Why were they there? Laura belonged, they didn't in my opinion.

Laura has started a series of pub gigs promoting her new album 'The Last Rose'. The first was at the Tudor Rose in Marylebone on 19th July and Laura was brilliant! Here is one of the songs from the evening www.youtube.com/watch?v=mhRAnJExOy4Look out for details of more events (yet to be posted) on Laura's new website. www.laura-wright.co.uk/#events

Amazon is currently selling the three cd's: The Last Rose, PARADISO and Sweetest Love (Katherine Jenkins) as a bundle for around £20. Good value.

Yes excellent news, though it should have done much better after it's stellar Amazon chart performance in the pre-orders and even now, it's in their top 10 (but #24 in the official chart with a mere 4,300 weekly sales).
No sign of it in Tescos though, which is a bit of a shocker and could explain the wide disparity between its Amazon performance and the official chart. Being stocked by the big supermarkets is essential for this genre to do well in sales and the main pop chart chart (ideally a top ten).
Cheers, Dave
