I love the sound of these, verging on club mixes, reminds me of another artist Kimera who did disco mixes of opera pieces in the mid eighties. Real crossover with an element of fun. I don't do downloads, pity they are not on a cd, they could be sent to radio stations as promos for the next album. The cover is cool too.

Hi Richard,
I can see how it may not be to everyone's taste with the new arrangements. I heard Agnus Dei on YouTube and thought it would make excellent running music and I was right, the two best ones for me are the Agnus Dei and the Beethoven. I usually run to chart music, but I would like to run to classical music, but it is hard when there is not a decent beat to it and it is very slow, but this EP is a perfect combination of great classical melodies with a beat so I can run to it, all I need now is a whole album like this. I agree with you Comet that this is real crossover, making modern versions and arrangements of these songs.

I think this sounds awesome and it is proper cross-over isn't it? It seems like it suits Laura's personality well.

Laura has a beautiful voice, but her solo albums up till now have been too 'safe'. 'safe' = 'uninspiring' It might be a risk from a sales perspective, but I like what I hear on this EP.

Hello Susie and everybody! Well at least I now understand the title of Laura's EP. Sadly I'm not an athlete by any stretch of the imagination, so I'm afraid it's not for me. Richard

Hmmm.. nice singing but not keen on the drums. Sort of destroys the atmosphere of the music for me.

Hi Everyone,
I saw that Laura (and also Camilla Kerslake) are performing at Audley End this year in August, is anyone going from this forum, I am in two minds whether to buy a ticket or not, I would really like to see Laura live.

Hello folks! I've just found this video of Laura Wright performing Barber's 'Agnus Dei' on Classic FM's Facebook page. It's caused some controversy, but I'll share it here: See the comments here: More from Classic FM: www.classicfm.com/artists/laura-wright/news/barbers-agnus-dei-video/Having watched it a couple of times, I now quite like it, so any comments will be welcome. Hi Everyone
I love this video and all the new stuff Laura is doing, as I said on the thread about Katherine's new album, it is about time someone did something different and I think it is great how she has tied this in with her sports.
I read some of those comments and think it is unnecessarily harsh as I don't think Laura has only done this for publicity I think she is serious about the connection to sport and strength and trying something new.
