i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif My CD/DVD arrived today. I have so far only played the DVD. It is PAL and All Regions so it worked on my player. The 30 minute concert was filmed with an orchestra. There are 9 songs. the first of which is just the orchestra. There is also one duet with a baritone and another with a soprano. Patricia looked very beautiful and her singing was excellent. I think she will be an opera star in the future. There is also a 10 minute Making of the CD video. I am looking forward to listening to her CD in particular the Once Upon A Time In The West.

Your´s fail Bogi  - excuse me for my horrible english language - but 30 second for each song of Patricia presentation is marketing mistake in this case - no magnificient, no emotional, no charisma, no sound - Patricia need´s all things to do full  ...... but Patricia would be at phenomenal junior opera singer in the next year - I want still hear her at duet Vide Cor meum ( music maybe from other Universe) with amazing Jackie Ewancho  |

krupicka, I can agree with you, that a 30 second sample cannot bring the same level of personal exerience than the whole track. If it would, then it could not be for free!!  My personal opinion is, that 45 second, 320kbps MP3 quality and maybe also better choice of samples (for example from Song To The Moon) could bring us more and the samples still couldn't be used to substitute the CD. Surely the sound of the CD is much better, but the MP3 sound isn't so bad that it could turn magnificient, emotional, charismatic to the opposite. The main difference between the 30 second sample of Sancta Maria and the video lays in the fact that the video contains the whole aria. Even though I mean the casual listener can be quite charmed by the most of the samples. They are helpful for people who didn't hear yet anything other from Patricia than the Talentmania performances. These samples were positively taken for example on the Jackie Evancho's fan forum. Audio samples are nothing new outside of Slovakia or Czech Republic. They became a standard for example on amazon. As a potential consumer of CDs I must say I very appreciate the possibility to hear samples of albums, which are of my interest. I understand that they are of reduced audio quality and that the chosen 30 seconds is only a short 'preview', which may not represent the whole track. |

Now that is unusual. I played it right through to the end and enjoyed it. I don't usually enjoy other people's covers of Hayley's songs, since they are always inferior. Except for this one!

For those who wish to download the album and are not i-Positive, there is another possibility to download MP3 album (or some selected tracks). I found the site tradebit.com provides 320kbit MP3 files and what can be interesting for more of you are 1 minute MP3 samples. They are of better quality than the 30 second samples of amazon(.com, .de) or rebeat.com. |
