Hi -
Any particular reason why HWI is not listed amongst the external links shown at the bottom of the page on Hayley's Wikipedia page?

Bob S Hi Bob Wikipedia's policy rules state that links to "fan sites" are not permitted. The HWI management team has recently considered adding a link but in the circumstances we thought otherwise. I know there are some celebrity wikipdeia entries which have not followed these rules but in my opinion it is a contentious point since links to official sites are allowed. Best wishes Martin

There are countless associations and societies represented in Wikipaedia that are uncoupled from their source of inspiration, so why not HWI?

Hi Martin -
Thanks for the explanation. Not seeing HWI there just struck me as being a bit odd, since HWI appears to be just about the best source of all HW information.

Hi Steve, That's an interesting idea that we hadn't considered, thanks! We'll have a think about it. Thanks for your interest in this, Bob. I know anyone can edit most Wiki pages, but I was wondering, do we have any regular Wikipedia contributors among our ranks? Cheers, Dave

I'm not a regular contributor, but I have contributed to Hayley's page, as well as others that relate to her (i.e., songs that she has covered, like May it Be, etc.). However, Hayley's biggest fan from China (who goes by various usernames) has done a lot more than me. He even made the Paradiso page!

It's from the Ulysses concert in New York (I think), while she was there touring with Celtic Woman. Unfortunately, I've never seen any of those performances on Youtube. There is one of Mummer's Dance in the HWI archives... I think. That's where I saw the setlist that said she sang Dark Waltz. But I agree, I would love to hear the entire performance of Dulaman there, because it sounded so much better than that youtube video you're referring to. I spotted Tim J in that video, though.

Hi Libby I saw that video and unfortunately it did nothing for Hayley's career. Perhaps she would just be better off just pursuing the markets where her talent is appreciated. I gave up hope long ago of her ever being accepted in the U S market. How sad. Tireman

Yeah, it is pretty sad that you gave up. Of course she will never be "accepted" if we all give up like that. I certainly wouldn't expect one little interview or small pub-type concert to make her very well-known. Her time with Celtic Woman, on the other hand, did help quite a bit with America's awareness of her. Lots of US fans that I've encountered on the web discovered Hayley from CW. Not all, but lots. Every little thing helps, you know. One little interview on a TV show can do more than you think. The other moderator on the official forum, Bob C, discovered Hayley when she was on Good Morning America back in 2004, and he's been a fan ever since! These small things may only gain a few fans at a time, but they all add up. Her most recent appearance only gained her a few fans, but the few she did gain she touched quite deeply, and I'm sure that means far more to Hayley than hundreds of new fans. But she definitely could use some bigger things to help her out more. Which is why I try to come up with big things for her to do, and act upon them. Which, by the way, haven't been entirely unsuccessful. I consider her time with CW to be one of those big things, too. And just so we're clear, this is completely on topic, because I am an American Hayley expert. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

How many times has Hayley performed All I Ask of You? When I was watching the video of Hayley & Joseph Calleja singing All I Ask of You, I started thinking that this must be the song she's duetted the most times, out of any other song she's ever duetted! She's done Time to Say Goodbye and The Prayer several times now, but has she performed either of those with all of these singers? Aled Jones Jonathan Ansell Lee Mead Rhydian Roberts Joseph Calleja Did she ever sing it with Russell Watson? ...and what's that guy's name, the first AIAOY video I ever saw, James somebody-or-other. Dowling? Darling? Oh, I can't remember! That video is no longer available. My link says it was in Wisconsin in 2004, if that helps. And she sang the song numerous times with Jonathan Ansell during their tour together, so that's a lot of times! So, I guess the answer to my 2nd question is, No.
