Oh to be in New Zealand now And watch the wagtails on the bough!!! Oh to be a millionaire To be where spring is... everywhere But then where Hayley is the sun shines through That's where my spring is, and my summer too. No millionaire, no riches to display All you need is Hayley, every day! Just a trifle caught upon the wing! A passing, light and incidental thing. Peter S. [PS: In passing I note the heading this is under and I thought I replied to a wagtail picture of New Zealand spring flowers! Perhaps the cursor slipped. I will check. Bear with me admin. I'm investigating! PPS: I see why, I was replying to Graeme's post with pics of flowers, wagtails in NZ linking the hymn 'All Things Bright and Beautiful'. I think theses added PSs are sufficient explanation, to save using the quote procedure for space!]

Brilliant stuff !!! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifRe the PPS Peter, some wagtails find their way to NZ via goodness knows how. (3500 kms of ocean & they're insect eating land birds) However they're Aussies normally. (like my pics outside our front door in East Coast Australia) Also, oddly enough the NZ paper barks are NZ natives. They just happen to be growing in our front yard. I love the way she sings "All things.....!!! Ausgezeichnet !! Graeme

"Each little flower that opens, Each little bird that sings, He made their glowing colors, He made their tiny wings."enjoy....Graemek PS. These 3 little wagtail babies (taken this morning) are nesting in our New Zealand paper bark tree in front of our house !! And here they are, still a family, but using their "tiny wings" which are growing rapidly as you (sort of) see.Graemek

Wow, I really loved that "All things bright and beautiful." John Rutter wrote such a beautiful version, and Hayley's voice was just beautiful as well! For some reason the melody reminds me of a Disney tune. I really love them, and have been listening to them lots lately so maybe that's why, lol. But I would love to hear this one on Hayley's next album. It suits her voice perfectly. In the meantime, I will have to burn this song to a new Sabbath CD so I can enjoy it every week! Thanks so much for making it and "Prayer" available! Hugs guys, Your Tashi

Hello everyone, A blast from the past! I have resurrected this old thread because I've just added a compilation to the main HWI website of all the "live" bits of Hayley's interviews and performances from the 2006 Songs of Praise "Big Sing". It's all been available previously in one form or another, to avid followers of this thread - but now, it's on the HWI main website with 'no fluff' To keep the video down to a manageable size as it streams, I left out the other performers and the flashbacks to Hayley's performances in 2004 (which are available elsewhere on the site). The only non-Hayley bit left is the programme introduction lasting 1m 30s - and Hayley even gets a clip and a mention in that! This version (at 400 kbps broadband) replaces the previous two very large videos of the complete shows. The sequence is: Programme Introduction (45th anniversary show!) - 1m 30s Short Interview with Hayley - 1 minute Hayley singing "All Things Bright and Beautiful" (Rutter) - 4minutes Hayley singing "Prayer" (from Odyssey) - 5 minutes Total time 11m 33s. I hope you like it and here it isCheers, Dave

I was just retrieving some files from my sick desktop PC when I came across these photos from the rehearsal for this event. Sorry - none from the recording. John

Hmm, I think this is a different Songs of Praise thread... the last post before yours is from 2007. Nice photos, though!

Hmm, well, I just thought there were separate threads for each of her separate appearances on Songs of Praise.

Hmm, well, I just thought there were separate threads for each of her separate appearances on Songs of Praise. You are right again. It took me quite a while to find it, but this is the thread about the recording which I attended in 2006, when I took those pictures. I know it must seem a little odd to see such an old thread resurface. I only joined HWI a few months ago, but when I rediscovered the photos, I thought members might be interested to see them. Thank you Libby, you are the only one to have responded so far . John

Oh... I thought these were from your recent concert in Sept. That's why I was confused! So never mind about what I said about the threads. You did put them in the right one. I should've known by the difference in her hairstyles! And yes, I am very interested to see them.
