Hi everyone! Thank you Jason for providing those downloads ... Graeme, I'm glad to hear they worked well for you; for me, they make a static-y, slightly screechy sound on all the high notes. This is probably because of my headphones, since I've had problems like this on many songs, but I'm just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this... Whatever, it doesn't detract too much from the whole experience. The Last Rose of Summer was everything I imagined it to be... exquisite! Oksy

Dear all, Here's the entire video of the celtic woman PBS special: www.megaupload.com/?d=G4RMCM11The quality of the video isn't as good as jason's (according to his screencaps) due to much higher compression used. The video is ~81mins long and 283MB. Since many of you are having issues with rapidshare, I've decided to try a different service, megaupload. The download speed seems to be decent at 100k/s on my cable connection and there's no wait between downloads. Please let me know if you're having any problem. Best regards, Allen

Thanks Allen for being so helpful, My download is starting now & will take 1 1/2 hrs. at 53Kb ps.
I hope the instructions being in German doesnt put anybody off.
I speak German so I've got an advantage.
Just be careful when you're wanted to put the three coloured letters into the box to their right. I used capitals & that worked fine. Download is free. You become a member first tho.
Hayley looks very happy singing with the other CW members. They've placed her in their midst & she looks perfectly comfortable.
She is her usual superb, lovable, brilliant self. Thrilling I must add too. Graemek Hi Oksy...I wasn't too impressed by the Quicktime viewer. PowerDVD said it'd handle the mp4 files but wouldn't. ACDSee v6 turned out the best playback quality with good audio & no video glitches. Windows media wouldn't work. (mp4 plugins are probably somewhere tho)

I had high hopes for the Hayley/Celtic Woman project, and it exceeded all my expectations. Her duet with Meav was oustanding as were her solo performances. David Downes arrangements really complimented her fine voice. I hope this show finally brings Hayley's talent to the attention of music fans here in the states.

Hi Folks, Great to see the growing interest in Celtic Women and all its performers Chloe, Lisa, Maev, Mairead and Orla. Their own CDs are available at source: www.celticcollections.comalso worth a mention are Rua. These two girls (Liz Madden and Gloria Mulhall)have two brilliant albums with some songs you would already be familiar with but some new and creative arrangements of new and exceptional material. see: www.ruaworld.comFor those of you interested in old Irish songs or who have Irish roots like some of the new members from the Celtic Women forum etc. may I mention the one and only: Sinead O'Connor and her album sean-nos nua. (Old songs done again or done new) These are songs Irish people would have learned in school and elsewhere as they were growing up. This album is Sinead at her best, finally in touch with her soul and her Irish past, exorcising her soul and the torment that had plagued her in the past.....

What a great show! This was the first time I had heard Celtic Woman, and they are very talented. Hayley sang well, and seems to fit in quite nicely with the others... The only disappointment was that she was never mentioned as a guest performer! Could that be because the new arrangement means she is seen as part of them, which is perhaps the intention? As I understand it, they are all individual artistes of repute in their own right? Peter S.

Hi Jeeper. Welcome to our Board. I hope you enjoy yourself with us but tell me...what took you so long to join if you have been aware of Hayley for so long before her CW days? Peter S. Wish I had found this group sooner but for some reason I never found it until someone posted a link. I probably would have been here much sooner. Usually I do a much better job of locating such on the net without other's links but this time I just plain missed what appears to be a great group of people. ...CW managment has made many blunders in the past and I don't forsee any change with them anytime soon either. Perhaps Steve Abbott should take CW under his wing too?!!! Peter S.

I was stunned & Thrilled to see Hayley in that context. Her singing was fabulous...I've already lost count of the times I viewd the clips. Both Jasons & Allen's. You know what i missed? Yes, you guessed it...her audience talk !!!! I loved the performance as a whole tho....very talented people. Found the audience's singing along beautiful. They knew all the lyrics. Graemek

Graemek Bob has expressed my thoughts well with the way she fit into the CW group. And we do need to forget that the helping out will probably be a two way street for both CW and Hayley. CW, until they picked up Deirdre (Gilsenan) Shannon and her exposure to the EU fans, was not well known anywhere but in the U.S. (For those that do not know she had most recently performed with Celtic Tenors, one of whom is her brother.) The Celtic Tenors have a rather large following in many parts of the world where CW was/is still not known that well. Now with Hayley having a good exposure in most of the world and CW's exposure in the U.S. markets I look for both to benefit. This is not to say that some individual elements of CW prior to their formation as a group had no exposure as each in their own way had at least some. Mariannek has expressed the same feelings of many CW fans in that they have not had that much audience dialog. The way their show is structured and well planed to always keep moving has not allowed for much of this. [Sometimes I also wonder if its not also a management call there.] I've never had the chance to see Hayley nor Celtic Tenors perform live due to me living out of their usual tour paths but both sets of fans have commented on numerous occasions that they talk with the audience and also "work the tables" after their shows. When I was much younger I worked with a venue and saw performers work both ways. From hearing and seeing the audience reactions I would say that music fans of all types really come away from a show with a better feeling about their performers when the performer works the crowds both during and after the show. I don't know how possible working the tables after the show would be for CW as their tour is a hard schedule. The stage crew has to tear down the elaborate setup and the girls get whatever rest they can then travel (many times a great distance) for the following nights show. Just look at the schedule next time you see one of theirs and then you will no doubt be amazed at how they can maintain their quality of performance with such a schedule. Also consider the travel distance and you will see that sometimes the day or so off between shows is largely wasted in travel rather than being a true day off. BTW Hayley can truely be proud of the performance she gave for that show. She is truely an awesome talent and I'd bet she is also one of those the studio people call "a one take wonder."

Hi All, Ive managed to download all 8 video clips from Rapidshare (very tedious!) and, as Marianne suggested, renaming the files with much shorted names made them playable with Quicktime. Wow! I was very impressed with the performances of both Hayley and the other members of Celtic woman. The costumes were wonderful and the setting was ideal for such an event. I cant wait to get the video when it comes out. Hayley seems quite comfortable singing as part of a group and her voice complemented the others really well. I hope CW and Hayley tour in the UK soon. At the risk of duplicating some of Scotts captures I just wanted to focus on Hayley's version of Scarborough Fair.They are reasonably in sequence top to bottom & I love the hands over her heart as she finishes followed immediately by her lovely dawning smile. It says: "don't worry, I'm not really sad"Also enjoyed the crossover type walk down the ramp. Graemek PS Its been annoying me that I don't pronounce Celtic properly so here's what I found from here: www.faqs.org/faqs/cultures/irish-faq/part08/section-14.html14) How do I pronounce "celt" and "celtic"? The "c" at the start of "celtic" can be pronounced soft, like an "s", or hard, like a "k". The most common convention is to always pronounce it with a hard "c" ("keltic") except when using it as a proper noun (e.g. Celtic Football Club, Boston Celtics, The Anglo-Celt newspaper). In Irish, "c" is always pronounced hard, like the letter "k" which is never used in Irish words. The Greeks were the first to write about the Celts, using the word "Keltoi", which suggests that the hard sound is also historically accurate. { Thanks for clarification to Michael Ruddy. }

Hello Graeme! I'm not seeing the pictures, and pasting the links into the address bar doesn't work either! Richard Hi Richard and graeme, It's a bit of a mystery this one, both images show up fine in my Internet explorer (v6.0). Graeme, well done in cleverly combining 17 different screen captures into only two images. I was concerned when I first noted the file size of one image is 300KB - but it includes 12 screen shots so it's (just!) OK! Cheers, Dave
