On the subject of the Gold Dress Richard, the following quote from CW forum member J edwards brought tears to my eyes:
JEdwards Joined: 13 Dec 2006 Posts: 2 Location: Detroit, MI USA Posted: Thu Dec 14, 2006 8:11 pm Post subject:
"Since I am a newbie to the CW thang, how well Hayley might fit in was not an issue with me (in fact, in my ignorance, I took for granted that she was just one of the guys...er, gals.) I can only say this now: she is an ethereally elegant performer and, obviously, an enormously gifted singer. Her "Scarborough Fair" glittered, and "The Last Rose" duet with Meav was a movingly, meltingly poignant heart-stealer. Pure aural gold . To Hayley, I say "Welcome aboard."

Hello Graeme! That's a very interesting and appropriate quote. I've always thought that Hayley is a perfect blend of sound and vision! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifBest Wishes from London, Richard

Grant (PS Richard - this morning the text on the forum seems to have changed - is it me?)

Hello Grant! The text all looks perfectly normal to me, so it must be you! To be serious, it is possible to change the font in individual posts. I don't know the name of the default font, but Verdana looks like this (wider), and Times New Roman looks like this (smaller), at normal size (size 2). If you're suddenly seeing a different font throughout the Forum, I can only guess it may be a problem with your computer settings. Does anybody know of a Celtic font we could use to get this thread back on topic? i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif Best Wishes, Richard

Grant, I can not speak for other browsers but Internet Explorer has a place to change text size. Both of my machines are currently loaded with IE 7 and I do not remember the spot in IE 6 and earlier off the top of my head. In IE 7 its in the page drop-down and then Text Size.
Should you be in IE 7 there is also a drop-down in the bottom right of the screen that magnifies or reduces the entire page size within the window.

Hi Jeeper and thanks for your suggestion.
I had suspected there would be something like that. Now I've found it and put things right.
Don't need a magnifying glass anymore.
Merry Christmas Grant

Hi everyone. Since I ordered my copy of CW's 'A New Journey' yesterday for release 30-01-2007, I was interested to note that a couple of versions are being offered. One has the listing shown here. The other stays by the listing followed by PBS TV. Dressing up was mine. Note I've put little 'HW's where Hayley is involved in a performance. Only as far as I know however. It remains to be seen for the extra tracks. Hope Hayley sings Panis Angelicus Graemek.....From the tracks that I've already seen, the whole concert was a musical feast!!!!! Pic source was ebay search results. Listing was from the seller I chose.

I was so glad to see that they in fact finally acknowledged Hayley on the official website. I can tell you that it wasn't done by their good common sense. After I posted the answer to one persons question as to Hayley's status on Hayley's official forum the very same question was asked by someone else the very next day. So I answer end it with a link to my answer on Hayley's website. I believe that Lisa Kelly saw the whole thread and informed her husband who now sits on the executive staff. The addition to the website was made in the first 2 hours after CW management returning from the holiday break. I was on line checking to see if in fact they would start to update the sight as I had noticed the thread on Lisa's site and Hayley's site had a huge number of hits a very short time. All during the daytimes hours overseas. Anyway heres a link to the thread that I believe finally got the project manager to update the site. Lisa posted herself yesterday and assured us that the site will be updated fully soon. lisakelly.org/forum/index.php?topic=183.0

Hi Alcan1 and Roger and all. - 1. Thank you for your links to CW's Fans web site and forum board.
- 2. Thank you for your stirring support of Hayley ALTHOUGH, you might have mentioned Hayley's Irishness due to Irish emigrant ancestry, to help pour oil over any troubled waters.
- 3. It is very disappointing to learn about the Deidre incident and the 'mixed' feelings implied to be coming from both camps on Hayley's participation. I had thought that while the 'Il Divo' connection had been controversial, there had been a general consensus here that CW was good timing and the right company for Hayley.
The implications of negative vibes within the group raises, for me, the sense of disquiet I felt with the 'Il Divo' connection: that they did not treat her (despite what she herself said of them as personal relationships) as highly as they should have done for a girl with her voice, reputation and achievement list.
Having said that, and I mean no more than observation, Hayley could hardly have said anything negative about 'Il Divo' had she wished (which she wouldn't because that is not her style) but the fact remains she was not as well billed and advance promoted as many of us here believed she should have been. But perhaps, here, we are all biased!
Nor could Katheryn Jenkins have said other than she did when she was in NZ and speaking of her relationship with Hayley (or rather Hayley's with her as Hayley was the one in charge) when she was interviewed in NZ about her appearing in Hayley's 'The Palladium' show.
If it is all at face value and the modern style is total pleasantness all round, all hats off and three cheers. I could simply be cynical in my old age. But I find the interchange on the CW links you two provided for us disturbing. They worry me about the way CW will treat Hayley, whereas before (due to ignorance, perhaps) i did not have too many worries.
Peter S.
