Hi Martin,

A ten day break? I wish for Hayley's sake that were true but it is unlikely. Her final appearance with CW is 23rd May and she is in the Royal Albert Hall on 1st June. There are only eight days in between and presumably the first of them will be spent travelling back from Denver to London dueing which she will *lose* eight hours. Although no other events appear on her schedule for the remaining days, I bet she will be actively involved in something. And of course, she has to prepare for her RAH appearance and the events that follow it within days.

Hayley, TAKE A BREAK!!!

Absolutely, indeed as I'm sure people here would appreciate it's especially important to take adequate time off to recover from jet-lag, which in my experience at least is worse when travelling from west to east.

I agree, David, it is worse when travelling from west to east. I know that several of us have encouraged Hayley to take time out, in my case, at her manager's request. She always says she will... only she doesn't say when!

It would be nice to think that Hayley would take a break when she returns to the UK, but I bet if she has some free time, she will already be thinking of ways to fill it.

Cor! I bet she has loads of washing :2fun: and then there's flat hunting, that must be on her mind now she's coming home Ooops! Back to London.

Whatever, I wish her well and would just like to say -

I entirely agree which is why I put the word break in parenthesis. I was perhaps too subtle!

I hesitated saying outright that Hayley should take a break as at the end of the day we all know that Hayley is perpetual motion.

Also, forgive my arithmetic (which goes to prove that a degree in Maths ain't worth much! ).

We travelled a bit further south then and we found ourselves in the home of the former president Bill Clinton, in Little Rock. Little Rock showed their appreciation of us at the PBS Meet and Greet and we got to meet so many of you there so thank you all for coming.

We were lucky enough to have a day off in Memphis Tennessee, so while some of us visited Graceland, the rest of us were happy to peruse the gift shops and blues bars of Beale street and try some barbecue ribs. We discussed briefly the possibility of getting new costumes in the style of Elvis’s famous karate suits, but we soon abandoned the idea. Like Nashville we were delighted by the response of the crowd in this city drenched with musical history, and we are so delighted to be coming back to Memphis in June when the barbecues will be really flaming.

Baton Rouge Louisiana was our next port of call and we were stationed right on the water in the River Center Auditorium. That was definitely a day for sunscreen, as our fair Irish skins got a small bit red as we explored the river park and boats.

We better prepared for the dryer heat of Albuquerque, and although we performed in the downtown Kiva Auditorium, we managed to steal some time in the artsy and very picturesque neighbourhood of Nob Hill which had a mountainous backdrop with many restaurants and bars and Mexican inspired jewelry and artifacts, and some Indian turquoise. Not quite diamonds, but jewelry is always a girl’s best friend.

We then headed to Tempe Arizona, a very trendy college town with people enjoying the summer heat. We performed in the Frank Lloyd Wright designed Gammage Auditorium a round orange building which sat in well with the adobe style buildings of Tempe. We had two performances here with fantastic audiences each night.

While the rest of us boarded the bus to California for our next show, Meav waved us off, as she was heading homeward. Not to worry we will see her again in June and we looked forward to meeting up with Hayley in Palm Desert for our May performances.

They should have got one for Hayley. The Celtic Woman fans all agree she's a knock-out, and they certainly get a kick out of her performances!

Hi everyone,
Reviews for the CW Fresno show (May 20th) and for the Boise, Idaho show (May 10th, it's the one Hayley was preparing when she posted an article on her blog!) contain comments about Hayley's performance.
Interesting to see that the CW fans noticed that Hayley seems much more comfortable now with the ensemble numbers.

IDAHO, May 10th

Scarborough Fair: This is one of my favorite songs Hayley sings. With the limited stage room she soon reached the end of the platform where she remained until the conclusion of the song. With her soft and graceful gestures and angelic look upon her face, she wowed the audience, especially my brother. He had a pretty stunned look on his face. I introduced him to CW a couple of months ago but he has had very limited access since I have my cds and dvds in Boise with me and he lives a couple of hours away. I left the first CW cd on the computer back home so he has only been listening to that. Even though I have been trying to convert him to a Lisa fan, his favorite was Chloe...that is, until the concert. Once he saw and heard Hayley, he was smitten.

At intermission my brother and I went back to the lobby and he immediately purchased a picture of Hayley.

Dulaman: Hayley opened the second set with Dulaman. I love hearing Gaelic songs and try to sing along. But, I usually make up my own words because I don't know what they are really saying. As she walked through the "corridor" of men and began to sing I did a double take because she sounded very similar to Maev. However, the more she sang the more she sounded like herself. I did notice a big difference in the way Hayley flirted with the choir boys compared to the way Maev acts. Maev definitely has an older, more sexy and teasing quality that I really see in her eyes. Hayley seemd a little hesitant and embarrassed by flirting so it seemed almost awkward. It was also very cute and endearing. Maybe she just has a more shy personality or maybe it is just the age difference. I certainly don't flirt the same as when I was eighteen.

FRESNO, May 20th
And the more I see of Hayley the more impressed I am. Her command as a first-class soloist really comes to the fore in this show. At this performance she seemed much more comfortable and even playful during the ensemble numbers than she did in Los Angeles.

Hayley is certainly gaining plenty of useful experience through her association with Celtic Woman. Somehow it's good to hear that her natural shyness is still showing at times.

Hello everyone,
Hayley's last show with Celtic Woman in Red Rocks was cancelled due to the bad weather (rain and cold !). It will be rescheduled for June 28th and June 29th but obviously without Hayley.
Her last show with the girls was in Salt Lake City and she didn't even know it
I'm sorry for those who traveled so far without getting to see the show but safety has to come first !
