Hi Stephany, This is a semi guess, but Chloe & Hayley must be facing one another in their song. During their singing they must be alternately placing their heads, probably one up, one down, to cute effect, hence bobbing (rising & falling). Just as in Spanish lady they did the shoulder thing. A duck is said to bob along in the water or to be bobbing up & down. That is vertically up & down. Nodding doesn't seem possible to me during song as the accoustics will be interfered with. How's that? Graeme WHOOPS...I was too slow...Richard beat me to it.

Many thanks for the enlightment, Richard and Graeme. Richard, I love the bobbing head dolls - how about one of Hayley in your car? Back to topic, I noticed that Hayley didn't do any Celtic Woman Meet & Greet. Is that because people prefer to meet the "original" singers?

Hi Stephany! I can't remember who I was talking to, but Hayley did do a few of the M&G's. I can't wait to hear Melissa's report of the show she went to last night. I got a brief report and she used the word "fiesty" to describe their performance. Apparently they had a TON of energy and Hayley had "soul." Melissa....are you out there? <3 Caite

Hi Caite, Thanks for the answer. I'm glad to hear she did some Meet & Greet. It's good for Hayley to have some feedback from Celtic Woman fans...and somehow "unbiased fans". Melissa - where are you ? (Mega pressure on you! )

On the evening of May 12, 2007 I was privileged to attend the Celtic Woman A New Journey concert at the WaMu Theatre in Seattle, Washington. Although I had already been a fan of CW since their first PBS special in 2005, I’d not have popped the $250 to PBS in order to get “good” seats had Hayley not joined the group. Having said that, I was overjoyed by the experience of seeing the group perform live.
I’ll suffice it to say that all the performers were wonderful but since I’m writing this for the HWI forum I’ll concentrate on how divine Hayley was in her performance.
Anyone who has seen the A New Journey special on PBS or the DVD would expect the show to be beautifully staged. However the WaMu Theatre is not Slane Castle, so it wasn’t nearly as grand a stage, however the performances were superb. My only disappointment was that Hayley didn’t sing Laschia Ch’io Pianga. She did perform Dulaman in Méav’s absence and did so beautifully, as any of us who admire her talent would expect. Additionally she was delightful in filling Méav’s part in At the Céili.
A small but notable occurrence was the presence of a woman outside the theatre during intermission passing out post-card sized advertisements for Hayley’s Celtic Treasure CD, with a beautiful picture of Hayley with flowing hair looking over her left shoulder at the camera. It read “Hayley Westenra The Voice of Celtic Woman” and gave her web site address and had a picture of the CD cover. On the back it listed Hayley’s schedule of performances with CW through May. It seems that Decca is making at least a feeble attempt to advertise her during the concert tour.
At the very start of the show an announcement was made that no photography of any kind was permitted, so I’ve not photos to share. Another disappointment: no signing session was held at this concert; CW had performed in Portland the night before and was to perform in Spokane the following night, so there was no time. Now I’ll have to wait for another opportunity to meet her and obtain her signature on my collection of 11 Hayley CDs, 1 DVD, and assorted and sundry pictures. If it takes too much longer, I’ll have collected enough memorabilia that I’ll need a wheel barrow to carry it all to her.
But all in all, I’ve seen and heard her perform live. If I were to die tomorrow (I hope not), I can die happy with that thought.

Never mind the disapointments, Ed (no photography, no signing session). You got in a show and you gave us a report for which many thanks. That's being a true full WHI member.

Hi Ed,
Many thanks for your report from Seattle. We always appreciate first-hand comments from as many venues as possible and I don't believe we know anyone else who attended that particular show.
I am sure you will remember that evening for many years to come. Glad you enjoyed the show!

It appears to me that she's done a little something with her hair again. I think it's a bit curlier... It makes her look...even more adorable. (no small feat)

That gold dress is absolutely the most gorgious thing. Bet it cost a bomb!! Hi Grant, They should give it to Hayley at the end of the tour! Three shows left for her with Celtic Woman in the US, by the way. Hopefully the American audience will give her a standing ovation on her last show. She deserves it! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

Only three to go? Eek, that seems to have gone quickly. Yes, you're right of course. Fresno tonight, Salt Lake City on Tuesday and Denver on Wednesday. It would be nice if she gets to keep the gold dress. If she does, perhaps we will get to see it sometime! Roger

When this very successful US tour ends on Wednesday it's good to note that Hayely has a "break" of ten days to recharge the batteries before starting the UK summer progamme.
In the recent Auckland interview Hayley referred to the open air summer concerts which she enjoys very much because the atmoshere is relaxed and less formal with the audience tucking into their picnics (British weather permitting!).
