Thanks from me too Dave. I always prefer downloaded .wmv files above streaming clips so I was especially pleased with your work as we were to visit a friend that day in Sydney (110 kms North from here).
Naturally I made a CD full of .wmv clips of our heroine (including the 2 H & E ones) & he's now plowing thru them. We watched those 2 while we were visiting plus cad. hall Mummers Dance. Graemek

Thanks so much for these great videos. I thoroughly enjoyed the interview with Hayley and the awesome performance of 'Down to the River'. I'm really hoping this song will be on the next album.

Hi Cathleen,
I wouldn't like to say if it will be on the next CD or not but I'm with you - it would be really nice if it was and I think it would prove hugely popular.
Roger

Hi Richard, "C'mon down..." I'd be one of the very first if not THE first to sign the petition for Hayley to record 'Down To The River' and to include this on her new Album! Yes indeed... Andrew

Hi Belinda, I know exactly what you mean... Would you like to join me in singing a little song to Hayley? "Wishing you were somehow here again, wishing you were somehow near; Sometimes it seemed if I just dreamed, somehow you would be here..." Andrew xxx

The more the merrier is what I say... Although I'd rather sing 'Down To The River' first, maybe we should sing 'Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again' before hand. That way Hayley may just happen to appear in time for 'Down To The River'? Well one can only hope... i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif Regards, Andrew

Hi Andrew! I think if we begin with a rousing chorus of 'Wishing you were somehow...' we might draw her in. But of course the singing wouldn't really begin until Hayley arrived. The maybe 'Here Beside Me'? Then we could sing 'Down to the River'. Anyone else care to join us? Who knows, someday this might work but in the meantime we can enjoy her rendition of 'Down to the River' many times on this video and the DVD. <3 Caite

Hello again folks! I think Hayley should record 'Down to the River' accompanied by the HWI Gospel Choir! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifI have appeared on 'Songs of Praise', so I do have some experience, but not a lot! Best Wishes, Richard

Incidentally, have you seen the film, 'O Brother Where Art Thou?' (2000) It's a bit silly in some parts, but on the whole the film is very entertaining. One of the main reasons why I like the film so much though is due to the excellent soundtrack! As you will have heard Hayley explain during her interview on the 'Heaven and Earth' TV Programme, a version of 'Down To The River' is featured on that film. If you can get a copy of the DVD here's a quick way to find 'Down To The River'... I'll try not to spoil the film here (in case you haven't seen it!) i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif1. Locate "Redemption" from the "Scene Selection" menu on disc one. Initially you will see a scene where Everett Ulysses McGill, a petty criminal (George Clooney) is having an argument with a store keeper over brands of hair wax. (The store keeper has "Pomade Fop" in stock which Everett doesn't want, as he prefers "Dapper Dan", but that takes 2 weeks to order). This leads to a scene in the middle of a forest where the Everett, Delmar and Pete are discussing a strategy. The men become enchanted by the beautiful harmonious singing of 'Down To The River' as a huge congregation of people dressed in white linen, make their way down to the water's edge for a baptism. 'Down To The River' continues... Enjoy! Regards, Andrew

Best Wishes, Richard Hi Richard, I'm afraid I can't say I've appeared on the 'Songs of Praise' TV programme like you, but I have enjoyed singing in a Gospel choir with over 100 singers before- we even toured to South Africa in 2001! You must have passed an audition to be allowed to sing on TV Incidentally, did you notice that the times when we posted our last posts were synchronised? Perhaps our singing could be just as synchronised? Regards, Andrew

Hello again Andrew! I didn't have to pass an audition to be on 'Songs of Praise', because I was only a member of the congregation. There was a brief shot of me as the camera was panning around, but my voice didn't stand out, thank goodness! Richard
