Hi all! Thank you so much for making these videos available. I'm so happy to see Hayley speaking about her faith, and I hope she will continue to use her music to grow as a Christian and share her message. I loved her rendition of Down to the River; in my opinion, it's one of her best songs, and hopefully, we'll see it on a future album. Love and blessings, Oksy

Hi all, And to Oksana: I agree with you. Her performance of I say Grace in Los Ang. Crystal Cathedral Oct. 2005 was magnificent too.
She was asked what 'Grace' meant before she sang that song.. Spot on answer too.
This clip adds another piece to the puzzle. I can't say I'm exactly surprised....just happy for her.

Thank you for putting up the interview, Simon! It was short and sweet, and very enjoyable. I'm sure Hayley could have chatted for longer, but it was a live show and time was probably running out. Great performance, Hayley! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifBest Wishes, Richard

Well done to Simon for getting the video of Down to the RIver up so fast on Sunday, I was impressed! I was even more impressed with Hayley's performance, I think this kind of song suits her well and she's going to get even better at it as she gets older... Hayley's certainly not a one trick 'classical pony', oh no! And in the interview, short though it may be, we learned some new things about Hayley and her family, all very interesting. I've been playing around with my own recording of Heaven and Earth over the last day or two, mainly to find out if Windows Media Player is capable of playing full frame/full size video at very low bitrates in acceptable quality. For full frame, around 800 kbps is often thought to be the lowest you can get away with (in DivX for example) but I've been trying to get it down much lower... I ended up at 500 kbps and although less than perfect, some of you may be interested to see what I achieved. Here they are: Interview (higher quality, 8 MB) Down to the River (higher quality, 11 MB) Because of the bitrate, you may need to download it fully before playing it... but if you don't mind this, why not have a look? Cheers, Dave

Hello Dave! I find the picture and sound quality are improved in your versions, but even after downloading fully before playing, the picture keeps pausing then jumping. I tried playing the clips several times with the same result. I think it's a problem with the computers here in the Internet Café, because I've had the same trouble with a few other clips in the past. I don't have the problem with the original clips posted by Simon, but they are rather lacking in colour. Best Wishes, Richard

Hi Richard and all.
I never downloaded the clip because I have my own VHS copy but it ran okay (both) on-line.
What I did notice was the lack of colour (for me)--and this is NOT any criticism, Simon, we are grateful for what you do--but it meant her dress did not show how lovely it was. It is a delphinium blue with the pattern as it shows (but comes over nearly a black patterned dress when I've played the clip).
What I like about the dress is that it is flared with what seemed to be petticoats underneath or at least sufficient 'excess' material to give that petticoat flared look, which I liked. It struck me as almost retro 50s! I loved it.
She also looked really lovely and quietly self-assured.
ADDENDUM To keep things succinct and together I thought I would modify my oiginal post rather than post a second in response to Dave's additions. I have now discovered Dave's renditions which bring the colour back superbly.
I did notice, Richard that while one file downloaded completely the interview downloaded very quickly and on checking file size found it wasn't complete. Could this help you define your problem, the quality/completeness of down load? Downloading again the file was complete and ran fine.
Thank you Dave for your tinkering. I can now clear my VHS tape for a future occasion--I am resisting buying new tape as i work out my srateguy for going completely digital--and work out the best route to convert crates of VHS tape to digital--there is a Cnet programme on the web currently covering this aspect.

Well done Steve for the timeliness of your videos.
Well done Dave for the time and effort put into yours. Excellent quality.
Well done Andrew for convincing Hayley that delphinium is a very nice colour for a dress.
Did anyone notice that Hayley left the interview stage right and then appeared for her song stage left? Has Richard been testing out the string behind the stage set?

Hello again Dave and everybody! I managed to solve my problems with the higher quality clips this evening. I've just watched them again after downloading Media Player 9, and now I can honestly say that the quality of both is superb! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifMany thanks, Richard

Dave has done us all proud yet again! Simon, it wouldn't have been possible without you of course! Andrew

Hi Andrew,
Just for the record, Dave's versions of the videos are entirely his own work (apart from the BBC and Hayley!). Simon had nothing to do with them. Both captured the videos when they were broadcast and then worked entirely independently.
