Gloria's guests include actor William Roache from Coronation Street, and singer Hayley Westenra who performs live in the studio. The Rev Peter Owen-Jones travels to Liverpool to explore the spiritual significance of the Beatles, and Sally Magnusson reports from Glasgow on the next generation of Glaswegian children who are witnessing increased levels of sectarian violence in the city. Thank you guys... and Dorothy the Diva too! Hayley is now mentioned in the Sky on-screen TV guide for Sunday so I'm sure more people will tune in to the programme than normal. Too early in the day for me though... video recorders set! I'll mention this elsewhere nearer the time but I've just noticed that Hayley's infamous TV interview with Frank Skinner from December 2003 will be broadcast again on the Paramount2 digital TV channel as follows: Friday 18 August at 23:05 Saturday 19 August at 03:00 Now, we can laugh about it but I suspect that Hayley always did! Cheers, Dave

Hello again folks! Hayley's appearance is also confirmed in Radio Times. For anybody overseas watching or recording via satellite, I should point out that the programme is on from 10:00 to 11.00am British Summer Time, which is one hour ahead of GMT. Perhaps Dave keeps his body clock set to GMT all year round! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifExit, stage left! Richard

My body clock is set to North American Eastern Standard Time, and now you know that, perhaps the hours I keep make more sense? Yes I will certainly post about Hayley's Heaven and Earth appearance over at Il Divo, it would be nice to help keep it going, the interest her appearances with "the boys" concerts has generated over there. Cheers, Dave

Will Hayley be chatting though? Is she just performing? It would be disappointing if she's not, because I would love to hear her thoughts on all things spiritual.
I bet she'll be chatting to William Roache(Ken Barlow) from her fave soap Corrie before the show.

Hayley had a little chat before singing too! I hope she comes back to the show sometime just to talk about things spiritual. It would be interesting.

Hi All, YES Hayley!!!What an OUTSTANDING performance of a SUPERB song! Nothing needed to be said to convey a clearer message... I was SO pleased to hear Hayley sing 'Down To The River' since it's been a favourite song of mine since I first heard it in the year 2000, when it was featured in the soundtrack to the film, 'O Brother Where Art Thou?' during the "Redemption Scene". When I saw Hayley on December 6th, 2005 at 'The Lowry' I gave her the CD of the soundtrack to this film and written letter to her, in which I expressed my appreciation of her rendition of 'Down To The River' on her 'Live From NZ' DVD... I requested for Hayley to sing this very spiritually uplifting song again for me too. This is the first time I've heard Hayley sing that song since then, so as you can imagine, witnessing Hayley perform the piece on TV this morning really lifted me up! Thank you so much Hayley!!! God Bless xxx Simon, thank you for your excellent video capture of Hayley's performance of 'Down To The River' we can play it over and over whenever we feel downhearted! A very Uplifted Andrew

Hi Jon, I too would love to hear Hayley talk about her faith, little is ever documented or mentioned of Her beliefs, and I would not like to start discussing it in 'open forum' on an international forum such as this. Having met Hayley on several occasions I can only say that I am impressed by the way in which she lives her life, and how she shines amongst her peers. May 'Her' God Bless and keep her Steve H

Hello everybody! I've just watched the clip, and it was another wonderful performance from Hayley. Like Andrew, I'm delighted to hear a new version of that song. I didn't see the programme this morning, so did anybody record her little chat that Jon mentioned? Best Wishes, Richard
