Unfortunatly I am no longer able to go to this concert as I am unable to get the Monday morning off work and there are no trains back late enough on the day.

Good news from the Box Office is that it is almost 'Sold Out'.
Luckily as I was only wanting a single ticket I got a reasonable position..... but all that is left now are at the extreme back and side.

BUXTON Opera House is welcoming back super-talented classical singer Hayley Westenra on Sunday
August 22, at 7.30pm, for an evening of her favourite songs.

Poised, angelic and breathtakingly beautiful, Hayley's voice has won the hearts of millions.

The six years since the release of Hayley Westenra's debut international album Pure have been a whirlwind.

Oh, and I've always read that it was 4 million albums, but I've been under the impression that that included Celtic Woman sales... So maybe it's 3 million if you don't include that?

Oh, and she's 23, not 22! That's at least 2, if not 3, mistakes!

We plan to leave Leicester for Buxton after church. Don't know ow long it will take, I'll have to do some research, to see if I can find a better route than the A6. I think that way it would take perhaps a couple of hours, so we'll probably arrive some time after 3pm.

M1 to Junction 26 then A610 - Ripley - Ambergate - Cromford. Left turn at traffic lights and right onto Water Lane and the Via Gellia to the A515 and Buxton. Should take you about 1 hour 45 minutes. Alternatively take the A50 and A515 Ashbourne and Buxton - maybe a few minutes quicker but not such an interesting drive
