Feeding the Kaka which is the North Island native Parrot. It rained in Havelock North last night but my tent held up well i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif.

H Day has arrivedAfter it rained last night it was much nicer today. But the forecast is not good with rain predicted later in the day. I went for a drive to the venue and it is only 3km from the camping ground. The amphitheatre is on the side of a hill surrounded by vines. It is very compact so will have no problems seeing Hayley. The stagehands were setting up the equipment. I got a message from Belinda saying she got to the camp ground safely so I will head back from Hastings shortly to catch up with her. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

The following article was in today's Hawke's Bay Today paper i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifWestenra ready for show tonight By Hinerangi Vaimoso Hayley Westenra looked a picture of enthusiasm as she floated through Hawke's Bay Airport last night. The 23-year old London-based classical artist touched down safely in Napier with mum Jill, geared up to perform in Havelock North tonight. About 1000 people are expected to fill the terraces of Black Barn Vineyard's amphitheatre from 5pm to see Westenra's only New Zealand show this summer. Westenra has more than four million album sales to her name and is the fastest-selling debut classical artist in the British chart history -- as well as the biggest-selling artist of all time in New Zealand. And it's not just the music she's interested in. Westenra is the youngest UNICEF ambassador to date. She is also involved with Save The Children in Hong Kong, Breast Cancer Awareness in New Zealand and the Women's Environmental Network. Another major charity she supports is the Nordoff-Robbins Centre for Music Therapy, which provides help for children who are disabled. Westenra will be joined by Fiona Pears tonight, a London-based virtuoso violinist who has opened for names such as Tony Bennett, Ottmar Liebert and the late Victor Borge. Tickets for general admission on the terraces are still available at $120 from blackbarn.co.nz. Preferred seating for those who don't want to risk the best spots are available at $150. Cellar door and events manager Francis de Jager says the show will go on regardless of the showers forecast.

Can't wait for photos you all. Only reason why I'm not going is because it's a long drive and I haven't been too well lately. Otherwise I'd be there.

H Day Pre ConcertIn the afternoon Jono and his cousin arrived so at least 4 of us were going to the concert. It was a lovely hot afternoon so I had a swim in the camp swimming pool. But you could see in the distance thunderstorm clouds coming . At 4:45pm Belinda and me decided to walk to the concert. Bad idea as we were walking there the rain started and by the time we got there we were wet. I could feel wet socks . But as the night progressed the rain got heavier so we all got wet anyway lol.
