Hi Ben
I notice that Jono has already suggested the three Japanese albums to get and I would support his view wholeheartedly.
Prayer is a particularly important one to have as it contains many tracks that are either not available elsewhere, or are only available on other compilations.
Best wishes Grant

Ah, thanks so much Maya! I always love videos like this - a bit of talking in the beginning, then the song. Think I better have the album ordered as soon as possible Tin

If I am correct, No. 12 was written by Taylor Swift. I find it an odd choice to be on this album, but I'm sure it will be fabulous! Hey Northern Lights, The song "Santa Baby" predates my Dad (Just)... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Santa_BabyI don't think I've heard the Taylor Swift version, but I was sure I had heard the song before. This album comes out at a great time, we'll have plenty of time to learn the songs before the 25th December Cheers Jono Hi Jono and NL, Santa Baby doesn't predate me, not even the original Eartha Kitt version from 1953/4, which remember well from my childhood! It will be very interesting to hear how Hayley's version compares to the original... and of course, it fits well on this album because it's a Christmas song! Maya thanks very much for all the information from Japan about this album and I agree that with this track listing and the comment from Tower Records, it looks like it may well be an International release. Hayley's first International Christmas album is long overdue in my opinion and to quote Hayley from last year, it would certainly be "something different" and might help her to break free from the "opera" label. If anyone wants to listen now to Hayley singing Christmas songs, HWI has some of them them here here ... and on Youtube here and here Cheers, Dave

Although Santa Baby is quite a catchy little song, I've never really cared for it that much. However, I think it's going to be one of those songs that Hayley will make special for me and I fully expect to end up loving it!! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifBest wishes Grant

So you think that this will be an international release? That's very exciting!
But do you think it will be followed with a more 'standard' album release? I only say that because it would be hard for Hayley to tour and promote a Christmas album as a full release in the same way as, say Celtic Treasure..? Do you think it's a seasonal release designed to capitalise on the Christmas market? Many other singers have done it. Then a non-seasonal release in 2010? Just wondering...

I am totally and utterly confused. How is this new song Japanese and Maori and English at the same time? So, is the Japanese title I see just their translation of the title, and she really doesn't sing it in Japanese, just like her other Japanese/English songs? I will be very upset if this new song written by Hayley ISN'T on an international release. But if this entire album is being released internationally, does this mean that her new album is going to be a Christmas album? I really want a Christmas album by Hayley, and want it to be released internationally, but I will be just a little disappointed. I really want a regular new album. That means we'd have to wait another 2 or 3 years for new Hayley songs! So, if this is separate from her regular new album, then I suppose that means it won't be released in the U.S. If it isn't, Decca will be the Grinch that stole Hayley Christmas!

I get the feeling Hayley is recording two albums at the moment,
Don't forget how fast Hayley can work, None of your "pretensious rock band" in the recording studio for six months stuff with Hayley,
I gather Hayley sings Japanese songs was recorded in London in just three days, with Fiona and Ian
don't forget Hayley has been off the radar quite a bit lately, I doubt she was lying around on the grass on her back looking up at the clouds..
It would appear she was looking at some paintings though..

Hey all, So if this album is for worldwide release, will the people who have already pre-ordered the Japanese versions be committed to buying them? Are you still going to buy them? I guess the advantage of the Japanese Version is the bonus track! Assuming it is going to be an International release, I would love to buy a NZ version, and the Japanese Limited version...but I'm not sure if my disposable income will allow for it...we shall see i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifJono

With regard to the possibility of any new album, Bedlam Management have said that many things are currently being discussed but they are not in a position to give any clues at the moment. If anything is seen online, remain hopeful but please do not treat it as fact. No information has been officially released but Bedlam have promised to let me know when it is.

I cannot get excited over Christmas albums. Even when Enya and Sarah Brightman announced Christmas releases, I really couldn't have cared less. I almost didn't bother with Sarah's (and I have every single album she has ever released), and I regret that I did, since I didn't like it. Yeah, I'm really not one for seasonal albums. I'd much prefer it if their time was spent on writing and recording a proper new album. I am surprised, as I thought Hayley had already done a Christmas album. :/ I hope everyone else likes it, anyway. I don't know whether I'll be buying it yet. It might depend on what you all say about it! XD

No! I just think this album will be as awesome as anything else she has released. I know what you mean about seasonal albums though. I bought the Celtic Woman Christmas album...listened to it once, and thought hmmm...what now? But come Christmas time, I will be glad they are there! Jono

Hi Nicola,
Glowing maybe, but I try to be honest in the reviewsI have written. And in my book, Hayley as a singer is in a league of her own. As a rule I have liked nearly everything she has dome, but not quite everything. I didn't like her single "Where do we go from here" and I said so at the time. If I like what she does I say so, and if I don't I say so too. And both of Hayley's Japanese Songs albums fit in my top five albums of all time. That is my opinion.
