So, there's no Hayley towns or streets anywhere in New Zealand? Well, there should be. They should name something for her in Christchurch. Graeme, don't the mail carriers in Australia work on Saturdays? They do here. Sorry for delay Libby...I missed this. Here's Hayley Grove,Bay of Islands North Island. Here's Hayley Lane East of Auckland North Island. No Mail deliveries are made here in Australia w/e 's. They have to rest the horses for the busy week ahead. Graeme

Well I've been very close to both of those roads...but I'm not sure if been on them. I live out in East Auckland so I'm fairly close to the 2nd one.
In NZ we get Saturday deliveries, but not Sunday.

Hi everyone, I made up a YouTube video featuring short (30 second(ish)) clips from Winter Magic set to the photos from the photoshoot. www.youtube.com/watch?v=yACV0SmftT4It sure was hard choosing only 30 seconds from each song! I kept thinking okay, I'll cut it here... but what about this great bit??!! Hopefully it might pursuade some You Tube users to get keen about Winter Magic.

HI Jillian-that is an amazing video-you really have a talent for this sort of thing! I think all those hesitating about Winter Magic will definitely buy when they have seen your video! Ron

Hi Jillian,
You have upset me.
I had decided not to get the Japanese edition but listening to the last track on your video I think I'll have to change my mind. Buying the UK album will be like having one of Rogers scones without the cream.

It's criminal that On The Wings of TIme isn't on the UK and US releases! I know it's technically not a Christmas song, but I don't hear anyone complaining! It's a pity that some of Hayley's best material seems to be floating disjointedly around the place... but I guess thats well and truly been covered on here. Thanks for your comments about the video. I thought it would be nice if there were some well chosen snippets of the songs in an easily accessible place. The snippets on Itunes/websites are always really dodgy. I hope these ones capture the essence of the songs better than the ones I listened to before buying the album.

This has probably been discussed before, but does Hayley have the final definitive say on the songs that appear on the different versions? Why would one of the best songs on the Japanese version be missing from the UK version, or any other version? The UK is where Hayley has settled after all, so why make us miss out if we buy the UK version? Cheers Ben

Hi Ben and everyone
Hayley certainly has had a say in the past about what tracks she wants on an album, reference her insistance that "Wuthering Heights" was included on Pure against the wishes of her record company. To what extent that is still the case, I'm not sure anyone can answer that completely.
There is always the possibility that conditions may be imposed by co-writers as to where particular songs may or may not appear. It would seem that "On The Wings Of Time" was written specifically for inclusion on the Japanese album as a 'bonus' track. If it were to be included elsewhere, it would cease to be a bonus track on the Japanese album, and would likely, therefore, breach the terms of its inclusion therein.
The other factor, or course, is the fact that the vast majority of UK purchasers won't ever know that there is a Japanese version with an extra track! You have to remember we know everything and that's not the case for most CD Buyers.
I think most of us here would still agree that it is a great shame that it will not be included on the UK release.
Best wishes Grant

Best wishes Grant Thanks for clearing that up Grant. Incidentally, because the extra song won't be on ITunes n the future because it is only on the Japanese release, does anyone know where I could download (legally of course!!) the extra song? Cheers Ben

Hi Ben,
Just to add to what Grant has written,
The record company has the final say.
Track selection is made by the local subsidiary of Universal Music in each major Country, the theory being that they know best what is likely to be successful in their own Country. It also explains why there are usually several variants of each International album that Hayley records. Track selection is usually made from a larger number of tracks recorded, say 18 - 20, of which 12 to 15 typically are selected.
I assume that local releases such as several of the Japanese albums are even more under the ultimate control of the local record company subsidiary, although of course, Decca in London, Hayley and her advisors will always be involved as well.
I believe that you can purchase iTunes gift vouchers from the Country you wish to download an album or track from, and when you receive it, you can then download from that Country's iTunes store... wherever you are located. I will leave it to members who are more familiar with iTunes gift vouchers to confirm or correct what i have said.
In case anyone is tempted, I should add that we must not of course discuss any non-commercial or other dubious methods of obtaining copyrighted music.
Cheers, Dave

Cheers, Dave Hi Dave, I have explored this method, and it also requires you to sign up for an account in the respective country. To sign up for the account you are required to supply an address and phone number in that country. That's as far as I got... Jono
