Hayley is exactly right, it was amazing - just wait until you see the high definition footage in an hour or so (HD files are VERY BIG and need A LOT of processing).

It's actually quicker to upload them to YouTube than to the HWI website so I'll do that first.

Hayley was superb - and there was an incredible twist just over half way through! Just wait!

Just finished watching a very emotional and humbling rememberence festival. Hayley looked wonderful in her red dress and "We'll Meet Again" sang beautifully.

I was also very impressed with Faryl singing "The Prayer".

I agree Martin, a very moving festival - and yes, Hayley looked stunning and did a wonderful job of We'll Meet Again. The wave to Hayley from Dame Vera made it for me, along with Hayley's wave back. I think its clear from what DameVera said when she introduced the song, that she see's Hayley as taking over the reigns (so to speak) as Hayley is more or less the age that she was when she sang the song orginally.

Wonderful stuff!!

I will just add that you are going to get THE MOST WONDERFUL SURPRISE when you see Dave's video - I had a suspicion ...... I will say no more! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

The whole show was very moving and I was close to tears several times. Didn't think much of Jamie Cullem but Faryl was exceptional and performed impeccably.

Yes indeed Grant, it was an excellent and moving show. The video is uploading to YouTube now, sorry it's an hour late but working in HD can be a real struggle

It should be available in some form or other 15 minutes from now but you may need to wait a bit longer for YouTube to process it into HD (yes even for them!). It will appear here:

Oh, I'll make available Dame Vera's interview too, that was also moving, so look out for it. Hayley was interviewd briefly on BBC Radio 2 earlier in the evening during the Highlights Show of the afternoon performance. I'll upload that here, too.

Hayley returned to the arena during the service at the end, I spotted her twice, standing near the Archbishop while he was there. She was later joined by Faryl - both as part of the congregation.

I deduced that the TV broadcast was delayed for an hour or two, which explains why Hayley could get home so quickly!

Hi All,

Yes... Dame Vera Lynn certainly looked somewhat "HAYLEY WOWED" to me too!!!

I also felt very moved by Hayley's beauty, her superb performance and her hand wave in tribute to Dame Vera Lynn - who responded immediately by standing up and returning a mutual wave back to Hayley!!!

BTW I was another one who spotted Hayley a few times later on in the congregation!!!
