About the arm movement thing... i think if ain't broken... don't fix it )) And Jackie definitely isn't broken For me her arm movements are interesting because they are like a physical manifestation of what is going through her mind as she is singing... emotional state perhaps... just my $.02. PS: i wonder when Jackie and Hayley sing together?! Can you imagine that? That would be amazing

I think she lip-synched "O Holy Night" because it sounded much too perfect. Or let me put it this way: if she wasn't miming then she deserves a special Grammy for that live performance in the freezing cold air. Hi Steve, Interesting, I think that this post made the rounds in other places, and produced the following video rebuttal. www.youtube.com/watch?v=0r-Vx_x0DZQThe maker of this video took three performances of OHN, one of which was the DC tree lighting, and set them up with the backing track synched. The result is clearly three different performances. Also, regarding the arm movements.....Jackie has begun using that headset mic for the express purpose of freeing up her hands so she can do more of them. Some fans - like the admin of her forum love them.

Great performances. They synched well, proves she is consistent.
But I'd still rather hear Hayley sing that particular song.

Im not overly fussed with the arm movements but its only early days and it took Hayley a little while to sort herself out too. One Talented young singer who will go far i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifHope her CD's reach NZ and Australia Belinda

I bet they will eventually. That's one advantage of being a star in America. It seems the world will know you faster than almost anywhere else. But I'm glad Hayley is from New Zealand. Otherwise she wouldn't have sung any lovely Maori songs, just to name one reason!

That triple overlay is just incredible... i wonder if Jackie has absolute perfect pitch.

No, I don't think she has perfect pitch (or absolute pitch)... She is certainly very good and may be pitch perfect most of the time, but if she had that rare gift, she would be pitch perfect every time, even in her earlier videos, where she is amazing, but certainly not pitch perfect.

Jackie has a lovely voice and is so cute. I hope that she can live her dreams while still being allowed to have a real childhood. And I hope that she either has or will have a good voice teacher who can help her mature in an appropriate way and teach her good technique to preserve her voice.

Hi Dennis An EP is an extended play recording, longer (extended) than a single. The exact definition might be varied by country I.e number of songs and minutes. There is a very good description at Wikipedia... en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Extended_playMy best wishes, Joe

I usually call offerings like Jackie's "O Holy Night" as a Mini-Album, I never knew that there's an actual term for them.

huh? Now THAT was something.... Before she even started singing I couldn't believe she was attempting to sing this, but I am totally blown away by her performance... She is so brave and so amazingly skilled... And, huh, that's a well-known aria, but, Nicola, it isn't that much of a Classical Crossover standard, right? Which amazes me even more, for bringing new pieces to the genre.
