Hey guys, Jackie's mother, Lisa, e-mailed me through my website to tell me about her. She has an album out in November She is just nine years old, and I think you guys might like her.  She has only been singing for 18 months. Thanks for that. I really enjoyed that and some more of her video's. She seems to be entering a lot of talent competitions I hope they don't push her to hard.

I always worry about that with children. But I spoke to her mother, and I think Jackie is quite strong minded, i.e. she's doing this for herself and knows what she wants (like Hayley did)
She also is not pushing her voice, so Jackie always sings softly (like that OMBC video).
Other than that, I generally share the same concerns as you about child singers.

Hi Nicola, I just received Jackie's new debut CD in the mail and finished listening to it... what an amazing voice. What can i say about her performance with David Foster... it just rocked! Go here: www.youtube.com/agt click on the voting gallery tab at the top of the page, and click on Jackie's video. You can then vote for her. She's the little girl with blonde pony tail. There's a dull green background to her thumbnail. You can vote once a day. x |

I hope she doesn't go on. America's Got Talent is widely seen as a freak show and the singers who do well never go anywhere afterwards. Instead of being path to getting discovered it's the road to being forgotten about or lumped in with all the crazy stuff that makes the show an attraction in the first place. Jackie will do well in the years to come if her talent hold up, but she would being shooting herself in the foot if she receives exposure on this show.
