Don't get to post very often because of work, but for those that didn't get to see AGT, Jackie was amazing. I saw her live a few months ago and she still blew me away. Katie That's very interesting. I have just discovered her on You tube www.youtube.com/watch?v=xPITHzdUUDk and am astounded. I came here specifically to start the thread and fortunately read first! She also seems a great kid as a person Between eight and ten she has matured incredibly. Now she is exciting for what is yet to come. Peter S. So much talent coming through so young all over the place I really am feeling totally inadequate! Peter S.

The response has been massive!
She was the most searched person on Google this morning (America time), her independent album that her parents made has shot up iTunes charts to number 2 and has gone up to #45 on the amazon.com charts (and to think, I donated £20 for them to make a second album! I don't think they'll be needing that anymore!).
Congrats, Jackie! You deserve it. <3

I'm impressed. It was a nice performance for a 10-year-old trying to sound like a 14-year-old trying to sound like an adult. Is she the next Faryl (whose voice she seems to channel)?

Jackie is through to the semifinals!
She is now in the top group of 20 acts.
Bit puzzling for next Tuesday's show...as they are bringing back 12 acts that were voted off.
But congratulations Jackie! We are Pennsylvania Proud!

QUITE SIMPLY THE BEST 10 YEAR OLD SINGER I'VE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE !!!!! She's got the lot: the looks, the dress, the voice.

I just saw her YouTube special video, and I'm wordless. Gosh, she is AMAZING!!!!
At first, I couldn't even believe that a voice like THAT is coming out from a 10 year old.
I'm floored. I couldn't resist repeating the video, she's fantastic.

Before we get our hopes up too high for Jackie, the remaining rounds will be tougher on her now that she's made her first splash. Just remember back to last year's wunderkind, Hollie Steel, who choked horribly after her initial success on Britain's Got Talent. I'd hate to see Jackie trip up like that, but the pressure on any child in the spotlight is huge.
Another concern for Jackie is picking the right song for round two, which, sadly, Hollie didn't do. How on earth can you top her "O Mio Babbino Caro" — a talent show-stopper like nothing else? If she picks anything less challenging it'll seem watered down and the novelty of an opera singing pre-adolescent will wear thin.
My advice to her is to sing ALW's "Pie Jesu" with all she's got and take no prisoners. Knock it out of the park and make the world forget about the other kids who rode that song to the bank. If she can own it like no other then the smart money is on her winning the final grand prize.

Hi all,
Bill Gates is a big fan of Jackie . He will give $10 million to anyone who can prove she's a fake!
'Pie Jesu' is a great song suggestion, Steve. 'From Where You Are' or 'Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again' are mine ^goosebumps^

I've always said Jackie has two really strong songs. O Mio Babbino to show of her technique and 'Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again' for her interpretation.
I think she should choose that.

Joe, it's "To Where You Are". I listened to her singing that, and it seemed a little bit hard for her; it seemed kind of high, and some parts she did sound a little off. It definitely wasn't smooth, although she did a good job. I saw that her video on AGT has over 2 million views! I think she'll make it pretty far, because there aren't that many other good singers. Michael Grimm and the mother of the girl who played Precious are good, too. And don't forget Prince Poppycock! Sorry, but he's my favorite. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif He has a really good voice, and he's very entertaining. I now know how to properly pronounce her last name.

Are you referring to her recorded version, or the one she did with David Foster on stage? If the first, I agree with you, but she really improved by the time she performed with David Foster. That's the thing about one so young. As short of time as three months makes a huge difference on her voice. I think her album was recorded prematurely because her performance on it is nowhere near the quality of her performances now. Then again, can say that in a years time if she records an album now... the voice never stops growing.

Jakcie appeared on tonight's Spanish news program, concretely on the Spanish CNN+ channel. Wow, I am very, very impressed! I still prefer Faryl's voice, and perhaps the whole singing, although I must say Jackie has done much better than I expected from the few videos I've seen. But then again, she seems much more confident and got amazing theatrical skills, that the rather shy Faryl quite lacks. Impressive expressiveness through her talking too, for such a young girl, seems very interesting. Does anyone know what path she'll follow? Can't help but think that with all those qualities, she is really born for opera, and, unlike Libby, I think with the proper training, she could make it to Opera rather young (maybe not a leading role, but... who knows)... But, of course, if she wants to stay rather Crossover, it will be amazing too.
