Hi Sing I was so sorry to read of your distress at not getting the exam results you needed but it seems to have worked out for you and I hope that the university that has accepted you will be OK for you. Can you tell us which university will be blessed by your presence? i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifBest wishes for the future Grant

Hi Sing,
WOW! I'm so pleased for you. It is right after all. Make sure you grab this with both hands, and make it work for you.
Actually, the work is just beginning. University is hard, a whole new level. You will have to adapt to it to survive.. Make sure you do. Somebody, somewhere, believes you have what it takes. Don't let them down. Do your best and the world is yours...

Thank you so much for your kind words guys!! Well, initially it was Southampton University...then I got another letter confirming that in fact they've given me a place at Reading University which is apparently one of the top ten universities for archaeology and Ancient History - and even better, one I applied to Thanks everyone for all your nice messages again best wishes Sing

Hi Sing,
Delighted to hear you got one of your university choices. Just a little bit disappointed that you are not going to Southampton as my niece will be going there to study marine biology.

Jim Yeah I was disappointed at first as that was my main choice but in the end I'm happy I've got into university! Anyway, I just thought I'd say I start later this week and I'm getting REALLY nervous now! I've got an interview before then, fingers crossed that'll go well

Just found out I've passed my first year at university with a 2:1 !!!! I'm sooooo happy and relieved...Although I haven't much time to celebrate as I'm off this weekend to my first ever excavation for two weeks...then a week after that I'm off to another dig for 3 weeks then off on holiday with family- so will probably get to celebrate then ...so I probably won't be able to visit the forum again until sometime in September I'm sure I'll have a lot to catch up on then!! best wishes Sing

Hi guys Just wanted to share some exciting news - I will be graduating next month with a 2.2 in BA archaeology and ancient history I'm very, very pleased, despite initially being a bit disappointed (would have preferred a 2.1) but, given that I was ill for about 6 months last year and have had continuous bouts of illness since then, and my grandmother passing away last September, when I think about all that I'm happy I've got a degree at all!! There were many times when I felt like giving up on it all, but somehow I kept going. I think listening to Hayley's music helped me a lot, especially at my lowest points. Now off to celebrate- with lots of cider yay! Sing
