Well done Sing and Michal, And Martin, I've often felt that any of us would have a ready made specialist subject for Mastermind. Some people here know more about Hayley than Hayley does Martin D

I'm not completely familiar with AS exams... Does it have some connection with GCSE/IGCSE papers? I do know A Level papers though, but I'm not sure if it even has connection? Or is it the same? I'm going to give IGCSE exams next year. My school follows IB. But anyway, congratulations on your results, Michal and Sing. Cheers, Anshita

Hi Anshita
AS are the exams in the year before A levels, so they are taken in the first year of sixthform
Hope that helps Beth x

Hi sing.
Obviously one empathises with your distress and with the fee changes in hand this particular time is more crucial than perhaps any other year, so I guess it is more traumatic for you than might otherwise have been the case. I am sure you are aware of the alternative options and at least there are alternative options. Play a Hayley album while you think it through.

Hi Sing You must look at the positives and as you say they are really good results. What about trying clearing? My results were not nearly as good as yours and here I am now a moderator on HWI! Best wishes Martin

Thank you Martin and Peter! I'm trying to focus on the positives and looking through my options now...just wish i could stop crying for long enough to actually take anything in and to think about what I can do now...i'm trying to contact UCAS clearing and everything but the sites having numerous problems..i'm listening to Paradiso atm which is beginning to calm me down now so...note to self- when feeling really low- listen to Hayley, and always look on the bright side of life and fingers crossed everything will work out eventually- Most of my friends have got in..one missed by one point!! it's really unfair! Hi sing.
Cool and calm. UCAS is overloaded and broke down this morning but they have now sorted it. Just try and be patient and clear your mind to think it through.
Love

Hello Sing! I'm sorry to hear the news, but your results are better than mine were back in... I hope you manage to find a place through the clearing site. Best wishes, Richard

Sorry to hear that Sing. But don't give up. You could still make it. If not, then it was never meant to be and there is something else for you. That result would have been plenty in my day, I didn't get even one A and still easily exceeded the qualifications asked. But times are harder these days. It can be traumatic finding out what you were meant to do in life. But in time it will become clear. For now, enjoy listening to Hayley, you have time to think and to dream. It isn't the end of the world, and it could be the beginning...

Hi martind, Sing and everyone.
Quite agree, Martin. I would add chaos theory. Just one slight change can alter so much. Think not on what might have happened for the best, think on what might have happened in the worst possible scenario: then think on all the good things that might come about from your altered circumstances which otherwise might never have been. Missing a connection could mean missing the bus that crashed into the bus stop!
