Hi JIllian and everyone I'm really confused... I thought that the Plaza was where the the simultaneous broadcast was? So is she popping outside afterwards and performing again? I guess she must be if that's what she says! My thoughts exactly. Looks like they've replaced the big screne with the real thing - Hayley herself. Wonder if that was Hayley's idea. It's going to be a great night in Taipei a few hours from now! Best wishes Grant I hope the stores have a big inventory of Hayley's CDs. Bill

Hello everyone, With the concert performance(s) probably over by now, and the first reports still to appear, I've been looking at the Wikipedia page of National Concert Hall in Taipei, it's very interesting and has some nice photos, here is one, with the relevant text from Wikipedia. This must be one of the most beautiful concert halls that Hayley has ever appeared in. The open space is the "overflow" square where some concerts are shown on the big screen, between National Concert Hall and National Theatre. National Concert Hall, view from Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Park There is more information and more photos here at Wikipedia. Incidentally, UK members may remember the named guest conductor of Taipei Symphony Orchestra for Hayley's concert - Jason Lai, who is well known in the UK. He not only conducted BBC Sypmphony Orchestra for several years but was an expert on BBC Young Musician of the Year, Classical Star, Maestro and others, so he's a top conductor. Cheers, Dave

So beauitful...Thanx for posting Richard!) Too fantastic to find words to describe....!!! I'll edit my video and audio first and then try to post them here ASAP...maybe on Monday or Tuesday I will post! BTW Some pics I took with my mobile phone...She came outside the concert hall to say Hi to those who enjoyed her concert through the projector Charlie~

Hello Charlie and welcome to the Forum from Central England. Many thanks also for your initial report of Hayley's concert and for the pictures. I think you must have set a forum record for the shortest time between a member joining and reporting on a concert! Very well done and thanks again! Best wishes Grant

Thanks Richard, well found! Thanks Charlie for the report, I look forward to seeing your videos! Your report and the YT video posted by strayz shows that Hayley had a sell-out concert, which was broadcast live in the square... and then went outside to sing live on the windy steps of the Concert Hall... which was also broadcast live on the big screen opposite! Fantastic! Cheers, Dave PS YouTube has now crashed "YouTube is down for maintenance and will be back shortly." I wonder if the Hayley video "hits" have overloaded the system?

OMG............. What is happening in this part of the world?? Earthquacks, thunderstorms and tornado's.............and what more??? I just saw on the news about tornado's/tyfoons and disaster in the Filipines, and that this bad weather is on it's way to Taiwan!!! The only thing i can hope is, that it hits not more innocent people.
Just saw the You tube video, looks like there was a lot of wind there!!

Oh gosh ,I hope it won't get any worse! There are many unexpected happenings from nature out there ...Like the earthquake last month in Indonesia? Also a nasty one... And we complain about a few minor winds and a little rain... Sharon

The earthquake was probably the one a few hours ago of magnitude 6.1 about 100 miles south of Taipei. These can sometimes be destructive over relatively small areas but not as far away as Taipei where Hayley is, here are the details. Taipei should be OK; there was another one a couplle of hours earlier between Taiwan and Japan but that was smaller, mag. 5.1. Let's hope that nobody was hurt anywhere in Taiwan. The windyness is caused by Typoon Parma which is in the Northern Philippines but that is forecast to miss Taiwan, it will just be windy there especially in the South. All should be well in Northern Taiwan near Taipei. Cheers, Dave
