Someone from Taiwan said it would be on the big screen outside for everyone to see for free, but not on TV. Jono As we suspected from the surge in HWI YouTube views and comments, Hayley must have had an amazing and lasting impact at the World Games opening ceremony concert for them to do that. There must have been a huge excess demand for tickets at the National Theatre, very few performers in the World would be given an outdoor screen to satisfy demand. I bet they wish they'd booked somewhere bigger, but that would probably have meant an outdoor arena with all its risks of bad weather... and anyway, who could have guessed? I'm sure Taiwan has already been pencilled in to Hayley's concert schedule in 2010! Dave

Hi Dave, I don't know... the hype that the lack of tickets and the placing of an outdoor screen and outdoor amplifying might create more impact than seating a theatre twice the size. They could have made more money in the short term, but it might benefit in the long term. That way in 2010, she'll be able to book bigger venues. Grant, It sounds like Hayley is enjoying herself! Has she had the chance to spend much time in Taiwan/China in the past?

Hi Jillian, I wasn't serious about the arena thing and of course contracts would have prevented a move to a different concert venue (if there is in fact a bigger one). I agree that the outdoor screen idea sounds like a piece of really imaginitive thinking and I'm sure it will pay dividends in the future. Cheers, Dave

I'm sure Hayley won't mind if I post this photograph from Twitter: Sampling Taipei's local cuisine at Din Tai Fung. A must Richard

Hayley's sales in Taiwan appear to be lasting the distance. Pure is number one on the Taiwanese classical charts and HSJS is number 2. Overall, she has 5 albums in the top 19. www.g-music.com.tw/GMusicBillboard5.aspx

I'm really confused... I thought that the Plaza was where the the simultaneous broadcast was? So is she popping outside afterwards and performing again? I guess she must be if that's what she says!

Hi JIllian and everyone I'm really confused... I thought that the Plaza was where the the simultaneous broadcast was? So is she popping outside afterwards and performing again? I guess she must be if that's what she says! My thoughts exactly. Looks like they've replaced the big screne with the real thing - Hayley herself. Wonder if that was Hayley's idea. It's going to be a great night in Taipei a few hours from now! Best wishes Grant

If that's the case, that's a really nice gesture from Hayley! I imagine that people won't have to pay for admission to the Plaza, so talk about value for money! Plus, the people who did pay for tickets could wander out for a second helping! Sounds like a big night is on the cards. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif
