Hi, I've just discovered that posting a message times ourt and you lose what you have written. I have chosen my photos, from my downloaded copies, the problem is the time taken to locate them on HWI using another tab so that I can post the links. It times out on me and my half written post disappeared. So I'll try again From Paddy at Bradford on the Valentines Tour 18. hwi.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=valentines&action=display&thread=4169&page=6#88231Reference added as requested. I have removed the links that don't work from ths post. See below for my other two choices. Martin

Well, that didn't work too well did it? I did genuinely download those two photos, but I can't find them now! Perhaps I'll have to upload them again to my own photobucket account and do it that way! When I get time.

Hi Everyone Thank you for your initial response and it is good to see that we have already well passed 12 submissions. That will now make the task of drawing up a shortlist of 12 that much easier! For those yet to submit there is still plenty of time so no need to rush. Hope you find your two missing photos Martin. Martin

I've just discovered that posting a message times ourt and you lose what you have written. Hi Martin, It is possible that there was a temporary software glitch. Failing that, is it possible that you only logged in for a limited period and it expired? Subject to that, you shouldn't be timed out when posting. Roger

This is Hayley at her most natural, relaxed, serene and beautiful that I have ever seen her in any photos. 1st one by Steve H These two by Grant are great images. 24. These are the pictures that stopped me scrolling through a thread as I might normally do. Of all the pictures I have ever seen of Hayley the ones from the soundcheck at St. James's Church, Piccadilly, 7 August 2008 are my favourites.

Thanks for your hard work on this so far Martin, and for starting the ball rolling! If I may, I'll add a suggestion that might be helpful to members who want to read more about the photos submitted. When members submit their entries, they could add a link to the forum post where the photo(s) originally appear. By clicking "Link to Post" which appears at the foot of each post, you can then copy the complete link from your browser's address bar. Just an idea. Cheers, Dave Hi Dave This is certainly a benefit so if a member of the Management Team could add a comment in the Rules section "How To Enter" , I would be grateful Cheers Martin

Hello Martin.
I've added a comment based on Dave's suggestion. I've said it would be helpful rather than making it compulsory.

Hi Richard, I' glad about that, since in the case of two of my submissions, I haven't actually found the post. Perhaps the people who took that photos can help. I ave uploaded them to my Photobucket account, so at least you can see which they are! This I think is from Karsten, and probably though I'm not sure, from Glasgow. Getting good shots during a performance is a special skill. Also, it is not always possible to predict what the lighting will do to the colours and set up the camera to compensate. My brother, who is involved in theatre lighting, says that photographers are often interested to know how a show will be lit. But with Hayley, we often don't know. I'll do the other one later, since it is dinner time and SWMBO is calling. Martin
