Yes I did try 'Paint' for the Beaumanor Sound check but some were still over 100mb and when they are loaded to Photobucket they gained some more !
Hi Richard,
When Photos are in Photobucket I don't think they can be compressed there . Also if you load another compressed by 'Paint' to replace one it will have a different reference.
i.e A post over 24 hours old cannot have a re-vamped photo alter by us.

New Zealand singing star Hayley Westenra recently topped the bill at an outside ‘proms in the park-style’ concert at RAF Cranwell, near Sleaford in Lincolnshire.

Under clear blue skies over 2000 people settled down with their picnics on The Orange in front of the historic College Hall to see Hayley perform alongside the Band of the RAF Regiment. Veteran comedian Jim Bowen was the Master of Ceremonies on the evening and had the audience – and the Band - rocking with laughter at his wisecracks.

On the night the Band was conducted by the Director of Music FO Matt Little and music included an RAF medley, works by John Barry and a traditional ‘Last Night of the Proms’ selection. Hayley entertained the audience with a number of standards including Amazing Grace and Danny Boy as well as a traditional Maori love song.

As the evening drew to a close a stunning sunset provided the backdrop for a spectacular firework finale that lit up College Hall and had the crowds up on their feet.

"As an inaugural event it was hugely successful," said RAF Cranwell’s Station Commander, Gp Capt Nigel Wharmby, "and is sure to be repeated." All proceeds from the event will go to Service charities including Help for Heroes, the RAF Benevolent Fund and the Royal British Legion.

Hayley Westenra began performing when she was just six years old and made her first recording in a professional studio at 12. She was still only 16 when she released her debut international CD, Pure. It rapidly became the fastest-selling debut album from a classical artist, and reached the Top 10 of the pop charts in 11 countries. Her albums have sold more than four million copies worldwide to date. "Pure" was certified by the official UK chart compilers as the best selling classical album of the 21st Century.

Hayley is in great demand as a duet partner and has sung with, among others, Jose Carreras, Bryn Terfel and Andrea Bocelli and has toured with Il Divo. November 2008 saw Elaine Paige present Hayley with the Varity Club Showbiz Awards 2008 Classical Performer of the Year and she rounded off last year with the release of her River of Dreams Album followed by her River Of Dreams Tour, in between jetting off to Iraq on a Hercules where she was honoured to have launched the British Legion’s Poppy Appeal live from Basra.

Hi All,
I noticed Hayley was "jetted off" in a Hercules (C130)
Here are the stats:
Max speed 602 km/h (325 kt); Cruise speed 556 km/h (300 kt); Ceiling 26,500 ft (8077 m); Range 7876 km (4253 nm).

Not usually called a "jet" as it has a turbine engine driving a propellor thru a gearbox. Its something like an aerial truck.

Most jet airliners fly 850-900 km/hr about 300 km/hr faster than the Hercules.
London to Basra ~ 8 hours Hercules, 5 hours jet airliner.

Hayley is very uncomplaining as always but it's quite a long run in the Herc.

HaHa! Hercs don't "jet off" they "lumber" but they can take off and land, fully loaded, in a very short distance. By many, they are affectionately known as "Fat Albert" although I have heard them refered to in far less polite terms.

I asked Hayley about the aircraft she flew in but all she could remember was that it was white so I'm guessing it was one of the red cross ones.
